Introduction: Expectation & Explanation
Firstly I want to say this, tanks are not over powered, they are slow, and they cost three points to use. Many players do not use tank because they see no value at all in them. So why do you see tank players sometimes reach the top of the score board when most tank players are just seen as a mild nuisance? Experience and understanding of utility is the answer to that question. This guide is going to try to explain some of what makes a good tank player, a good tank player.
Ronin's Tank Positioning Map: Deterrence and Domination

This is map shows the marking of strategic positions discovered by Ronin for tactical operations.
(This just shows positions of value, when to use them? Depends, on the TEAM and the TIME.)

MAP KEY:
ORANGE LINE: Representation of the front line. (soldiers clashing, the map objective, ect.)
BLUE LINE: Representation of the back line. (archers, engineers, catapult, people healing, ect.)
RED CIRCLE: Good positions for aggressive tank players, using that tank health for all its worth.
DARK BLUE CIRCLE: Good positions for defensive tank players, defending back lines from flanks.
LIGHT BLUE CIRCLE: Good positions for medium defense, you are watching and assisting.
GREEN CIRCLE: Bad positions for tanks, unless, using very specialized tank builds.

Tank players should try cycling through the dark blue, light blue, and the red positions on death.
Iron Giants: Fashion and Formulation
(Ronin's Very Own Iron Company Tank Sets):

(Iron Company Juggernaut)

(Iron Company Gate Ravager)
Gargantuan Guard: Fashion and Formulation
(Ronin's Very Own Free Guard Tank Sets):

(Free Guard Juggernaut)

(Free Guard Cavalry Catcher)
Strategy: Formation and Fittings
Firstly BANDAGES, which cost a single point, should be used more often in more of your builds. If you use my (R) rebind all the better. They keep you in the fight like the Bloodlust perk and unlike most builds tanks often cannot afford Bloodlust. Bandages can even have a support function if you drop them to your team. When to use them? With a tank you can use them whenever you are behind your team slightly but know you are always going to be a priority target so keep your eyes open when healing.

Secondly FOOTWORK, is huge for the tank, do not stand around when fighting, and understand that you have HUGE reach. USE IT! Let them be fooled into thinking they got range on you with their foot work and hit them with the tip of your weapon, you can really throw people off with some weapons while doing this. Walk from side to side in the fight, back out when not swinging and push in when you are swinging or stabbing but not too deep since you got range. If they get in your face? Maybe a huge foot to the face will reeducate them on their positioning. Kick them, but time it.

Thirdly FORMATIONS, with a tank are great, play around your team and let them play off of you. Use tank with hold shields and second wind, it can make a team hold an area if the team plays off of you well. Use tank with spear or javelins, you can jump above your teammates heads and do heavy blows that people would not expect in the slightest. Use tank with almost anything, if you follow my map from earlier in this guide, stand behind your team at a reasonable distance and push in when needed you can become a true monster on the battlefront quite easily.

Fourthly TEAMWORK, without it, a tank is about as good as his stamina bar. Not saying a good tank cannot clear a room by himself, or a tank on a horse with spear will not dominate over normal cavalry but a tank really is slow, and soldiers, especially soldiers in a group, can use that to kill you. Use your team, tanks are great at killing flankers if the naked man with the maul is about to fry your backlines and you were the lookout to stop him (unlike everyone else you can take one maul swing to the dome) you are doing your team a huge favor, even if you are not top fragging running top speed with the Zweihänder, you may mean more of a difference to your team than that dude in the end. Be the shield your team needs to fend off the hoard. Be a tank.

Keyboard Rebinds: Convenience and Clarity
I WOULD HONESTLY TRY THIS FOR TWO ROUNDS IF I WERE YOU! You can reset key rebinds if you do not find these enjoyable but honestly for general gameplay I find these to be my favorite set of key rebinds I have tested over the years. Plus its only four changes from the default.

1.) Weapon Mode / Reload (R) to (Middle Mouse Button)
2.) Equip Slot 3 to (R) for quick pullout for bandages but keep default 3.
3.) Right Upper Strike to (Thumb Mouse Button Two)
4.) Stab to (Thumb Mouse Button One)

These four changes have made my combat much better personally.
Conclusion: Admiration and Argumentation
