Might try a Vanilla+ game later so subbing for support
Edit: Vanilla+ also comes with less compatibility issues due to not being an overhaul of the combat system.
You don't need to worry so much using other vanilla+ framework weapon mods with this as most seem to balance things along vanilla lines.
WC has better performance and gives the player more control over targeting and such. There are the ui changes also but better or worse comes to preference. And more.
I don't build weapon mods but WC appears to be more advanced in terms of what modders can create.
I wanted the vanilla+ experience so I created this version of my mod. I should point out that I've not abandoned WC.
