YES, THERE IS NO BALLAST. BUT IT'S REQUIRED TO:

1. Download Lua for Barotrauma
   
2. Download Vertical Engines Lua
   
3. Activate Lua for Barotrauma:
   
   • Host a server with Server executable option set to Lua for Barotrauma - DedicatedServer
     
   • Press F3, and type install_cl_lua
     
   • Restart Barotrauma
4. When you create a lobby with this sub also choose Server executable option set to Lua for Barotrauma - DedicatedServer

Otherwise sub won't be able to go vertically.

Weaponry: Ion laser, overclocked gatling, twin coilgun.
Surveillance: SubHub proximity motion system, scouting probes monitor.
Drives: no ballast, vertical thrusters, LH2 and LOX management for engines.


Dangerous at all ranges devastating pulse laser complex that is equiped with dedicated reactor to power it. Consumes plenty of fuel rods and requires additional management described in manual books that are located in Ion chamber in sub's nose.

Big gun, big rate of fire, big power consumption. You can boost it's charge at captain's SubHub terminal. Shred 'em all!


You may ask: "Why not just one double coilgun instead?". Because just shut the hell up.


Shows you approx monster position around. Also it's navigation terminal with additional status displays for every crucial system stats.


Allows to check perimiter around sub beyond sonar range. Not an aux for steering!


Fed up with ballast flora? No more! Now you are burdened with servicing thrusters that apply traversing of sub.


Engines require liquid hydrogen and liquid oxygen productioned by O2 generator. Just pay a bit attention to your O2 gen because of it's dual-purpose. Don't worry in case of LH2 and/or LOX deplition sub won't brick, just gonna choke upon movement considering O2 gen is on. Oh, and you can boost engines with increasing consumption obviously.
