The Fracture of 2028: A Nation Shattered

In the years leading up to 2028, America was bombarded by a storm of escalating crises and conspiracy theories that eroded trust in institutions and fueled division. Whispers of a "Great Reset" orchestrated by global elites—promoted by the World Economic Forum but twisted into tales of tyrannical world government and forced economic collapse—gained traction amid soaring inflation and supply chain breakdowns.

QAnon-style narratives about deep-state cabals rigging elections and controlling minds through "chemtrails" and 5G towers amplified the paranoia, with social media echo chambers predicting an imminent "storm" of revelations and purges. A fictional pandemic scenario from Johns Hopkins, dubbed SPARS (2025-2028), was seized upon as "predictive programming" for bioweapon releases, sparking anti-vax movements and claims of population control via engineered viruses.

Adding to the frenzy, conspiracy theorists pointed to ancient prophecies and modern pseudoscience: a cataclysmic pole shift, where Earth's magnetic poles would rapidly flip, weakening the planet's shield against solar flares and causing apocalyptic disasters every 6,500-12,000 years.

TikTok viral "Adam and Eve" theories warned of a biblical-scale flood in 2028, tied to the Laschamp Event 42,000 years ago that allegedly triggered extinctions and climate upheavals. As real-world signs mounted—Earth's magnetic North Pole racing toward Siberia at unprecedented speeds, unusual auroras, and freak weather blamed on HAARP manipulations—doomsayers linked it to Nibiru planet collisions, alien interventions, and even time-travel plots from 19th-century novels like Ingersoll Lockwood's "The Last President," eerily mirroring political chaos.

These theories converged in the sweltering summer of 2028, when a disputed presidential election—marred by widespread allegations of fraud, cyberattacks, and voter suppression—escalated into nationwide riots after the Supreme Court's 5-4 "Judgment Day Ruling" on July 4 invalidated results in key swing states.

The catalyst was the "Blackout Bombings"—a series of coordinated EMP strikes on major power grids, officially attributed to domestic extremists but rumored in conspiracy circles to be amplified by pole shift-induced solar flares or foreign actors exploiting geomagnetic weaknesses. On August 15, 2028, the East Coast plunged into darkness for weeks, leading to mass looting, food shortages, and over 100,000 deaths from heat, violence, and failed infrastructure.

As navigation systems faltered due to shifting poles and conspiracy-fueled militias rose up, the federal government, paralyzed in Washington D.C., couldn't respond effectively.

Regional leaders seized control, and states banded into ideological alliances. The U.S. Navy, once a symbol of unified power, splintered as fleets defected based on homeports, crew loyalties, and resource grabs. By fall 2028, the once-united nation had fractured into seven major factions:

1. Loyalists (Federal Remnants): Centered in the Midwest and parts of the Northeast, clinging to the Constitution and federal authority. They control key inland bases but struggle with naval dominance.

2. East Coast Confederation: A pragmatic, commerce-focused alliance of Atlantic states (e.g., Virginia, New York), emphasizing trade and autonomy. They seized Norfolk and its shipyards.

3. Southern Republic (Texas-led): Resource-rich conservatives from the Gulf to the Carolinas, prioritizing energy independence and border security. They control Gulf oil rigs and ports like Houston.

4. Pacific Alliance (California-led): Progressive tech hubs from California to Washington, focusing on innovation and environmental policies. They hold San Diego and Pearl Harbor.

5. Alaskan Sovereignty: Isolationist northerners, allying with resource extractors, controlling Arctic assets amid melting ice caps.

6. Floridian Free State: A chaotic neutral zone in the Southeast, riddled with smuggling and militias, serving as a wildcard arms dealer.

7. Hawaiian Independence Movement: Pacific islanders declaring full sovereignty, fortifying against mainland incursions with volcanic defenses.

Six factions broke off from the original federal structure, leaving the Loyalists as the beleaguered core. Naval warfare erupted as these groups vied for sea lanes, resources, and symbolic victories—former comrades now turning advanced U.S. weaponry against each other in a brutal civil war at sea.

Loyalties shift like ocean currents, with mutinies, false flags, and foreign meddling adding to the mayhem. Conspiracy theories persist in the chaos: Is the pole shift accelerating, dooming survivors to radiation storms? Are elites pulling strings from bunkers? The truth is lost in the fog of war.

You dont need to have the air deck ops mods required. The scenario will work fine without them

@HiroProtagonist Thank you for the feedback, when I have some time next weekend, I will be finishing mission 2.

@AICTAIY I can make a version without the 6th generation fighters or you can modify the mission data and take them out, or dont launch them at all? Your choice.
What kind of the other additional mod required exclude 6th generation fighters

Absolutely lunatic mission(s). Pure chaos. Love it.

Yes, only one mission is available that is complete, there is a second that has no triggers and is in the conceptual phase. Want to see what people think before committing more time to this project. My time is very limited lately unfortunantely.
