Description
The new big quest takes you back to the Seven Cats Inn with a new adventure that took place while Geralt was searching for Ciri, another adventure that Geralt refused to remember...
Custom characters, enemies, full dubbing, custom-made scenes with custom cameras, new world, new monster, multiple endings, new experience!

BE SURE TO READ BEFORE THE GAME!
1. Please use subtitles as some words may be difficult to hear or understand!
Because some of the lines in Let There Be Light are large, please set the subtitle font size to 0 and only 0! Otherwise they won't fit on the screen or completely disappear.
To do this in the game menu follow path: OPTIONS\ VIDEO \ HUD CONFIGURATION \ Subtitle Font Size

2. The quest requires a player level of 30, if it's easy for you you can always enable "Enemy Upscaling" in game settings
To do this in the game menu follow path: OPTIONS\ GAMEPLAY \ Enemy upscaling

3.Please make sure your game is in English, otherwise the quest may not work!
To do this, in the main game menu follow the path: Options \ Language. Set both the text and audio of the game to English.

4. You must have the next gen version of The Witcher 3 The Wild Hunt with all DLC (Blood And Wine, Hearts of Stone and etc.)
P.S. Although you can try running this quest on the original version of the game. I can't guarantee that it will work because I only tested the quest on the next-gen version. I understand that some of you guys may have weak computers, so let's give this a chance!

5. Be sure to enable mods and DirectX 12 in launcher of the game. But some people have no problems completing the quest with DirectX 11!
To do this click on the setting icon near the play button.

6. Don't forget to read the journal as you progress through the quest, it describes all the important choices you made.

7. I'm highly recommend to play without other mods installed to avoid any unpredictable troubles with the quest!

ABOUT PROJECT AND ME

My name is Nikita Burkhan, I’m 18 years old and currently 09.09.2025 I have finished first year of studying IT in Warsaw.
My goal is to get a student internship at the CD Projekt Red, so this is my portfolio project that shows my experience in working with many
aspects of game development, from creating of scenes, setting up cameras and script writing, to quest design and character design, designing quest visuals, decorations and gameplay. And most importantly, the ability to solve problems and obstacles that arise during the chaos of development.
With great motivation, I planned, wrote, voiced and directed, scripted and debugged this quest on my own for three and a half months using The Witcher 3 Red Kit.

ABOUT DUBBING

I (all male characters) and my girlfriend that I involved in dubbing (female characters) dubbed all the lines with our own voice and later I changed voices to the character's voices using AI (I selected the AI voices for each character from among the proposed ones).
This was done to preserve the emotionality and liveliness of the voice acting, AI was needed to give authenticity to each character of my quest.


FAQ

- How much time did you spend on developing this project?
- 335.8hours in Red Kit that's what I can see in Steam and more in writing script and converting dubbing files, creating quest graph and debugging quest in the game.
So I’m confident that more than 400 hours.

- How the project progressed?
- I spent the first twenty days of June 2025 planning the quest and learning the basics of Red Kit. The active phase of the project began around June 20th and lasted until September 8th.

KNOWN ISSUES
Lip Sync Issue:
I lip-synced the characters as instructed in the official tutorials. As you can see, sometimes this problem appears, and sometimes it does not. I assume that the AI, which redubbed the recorded lines, generated such sounds on its own, which Blender (This is a program in which there is an autogenerator for the Witcher 3 lip sync) misinterpreted, causing the artifacting. In Blender, when previewing the animation, this problem does not occur, and the lip sync works as intended.

Subtitles and dialog choices doesn't appearing:
This may happen if you set subtitle size from zero to other number while the quest is already installed.
To fix this please:
Follow the path on your computer: The Witcher 3\bin
Delete all the files inside. If you don’t want to delete everything, at least delete the config folder and the gameconf file.
Follow the path on your computer: Disk where your system is installed \ Users \ “User name” \ Documents \ The Witcher 3
Delete all files except the folders gamesaves and screenshots.
Uninstall the game from your PC.
Reinstall the game. Then install the mod.
In the settings, don’t change anything. Subtitles should be enabled by default, and their size set to 0, which is perfect!

P.S. Unfortunately, you may need to set your graphics settings and your custom game key configurations (if they were set) again.

To the translators! Please don't translate my mod into russian, don't waste your precious time on it. I thank you for your love and attention to my mod if you wanted to translate it.
I've spoken this language practically all my life.
But at the moment I morally cannot afford to translate my creation into a language spoken by people who are constantly launching missiles at my country, killing innocents and those who defend Ukraine, bombing the maternity hospital where I was born with a ballistic missile.
I've been living for almost 3 years 200 kilometers from the front, where one of the enemy's tools is this language.
For the last year, I've seen hearses with dead soldiers almost every day, and now they are also intimidating Poland, where I currently live, with combat drones! Right now, russian-speakers are torturing thousands of Ukrainian prisoners of war. Thank you.
