USCSS-Galeas-Reg_ UMC-1135

Description
Affiliate: United States Colonial Star Ship

Contracted: United Merchants Collective

Reg #: 1135

Designation: Galeas

Class: Light Tug Ship

The Galeas is a Light Tug ship produced in the Tempuris shipyard over Saturn. While not as large as the Mid Class Bison Series : Nostromo, the Galeas is sufficiently powerful enough to pull in smaller but more manageable payloads and even other ships if needed.

Capable of both atmospheric and space flight, the Galeas is able to support a crew of up to 6 long term with regular refuels/restocks and even perform ground landing contracts for most worlds in regulated space.

Unarmed by default, the ship is designed to allow the attachment of several turret based weapons if needed by removing the cover plates.

Multi-deck design allows for numerous facilities on board without interfering with internal layout.

Rear access ground elevator allows crew to exit/enter the ship from landing deck/ground if needed.

***Please Note***
The Galeas is designed with several subgrid mechanisms, including landing gear, and the rear tug piston to allow the 'dragging' of a payload through space. While none of these are technically required for survival use of the ship, they do make for a much eaiser time actually entering the vessel without a jetpack.

This ship is inspired by various ships from the Aliens franchise. If you have not had the opportunity, I highly recommend checking it out. There are a range of media; including comics, movies, cartoons, and more!

Have fun!

Thanks for touching bases. I do agree that it doesn't have much for internalized storage, given that it is a tug and not an all in one ship. That said, it does have sufficient storage for general use.

A large container might be subbed in on one of the fuel tanks as there are several of them.

Revisited the ship after getting the last latest two DLC's. Love the design,
issue I see is lack of large storage and some proper power distribution of the rectors vs batteries.
Too many o2 system in the rear, I am currently reworking some parts on the inside to level the ship out more,
I know the ship is designed to tug the storage but feel at least 1 large storage is need.
Great design and Working on intergraded it into use for survival ready.

Thanks! Glad you like it! I am glad I got back into SE, it has been a blast. The new dlc has certainly smoothed a few things out.

What an awesome ship, great work. Looks realistic. Bigger than I thought it was in the pictures.

Sorry man. I hate that for you. I really like the dlcs Keen puts out and buying them is my way of helping them keep going. Once you get them, let me know your impressions of the ship in completion. I'd be happy to hear your feedback.

Rite on, never hurts to ask, I'll have to wait till I get the last 2 dlc's to view it.

Sadly not. I don't use mods when I build but I do use the dlc since they add a nice flavor to the build. I have not made a strictly vanilla version.

Is their a vanilla version of this, without Apex dlc its just a bunch of holes
