Generator Tweaks - Sound Silent

Description
Generator Tweaks - Sound lets you customize how generators are heard by players and zombies:

- Player Sounds: Adjust the volume of starting, stopping, failed starts, running, and backfire sounds.
- Custom Sound Files: Replace the default FMOD sound files for running and backfire loops.
- Zombie Attraction: Configure how far and how loud generators can be heard by zombies while running or backfiring.

All features can be customized in the sandbox options.
Mod options simply mirror sandbox settings and cannot override multiplayer server configurations.

This mod is so incredibly helpful - the noise in base game overstimulates me to the point of not using generators. Hope you can get this fixed for the new patch soon!

Realism is subjective and depends on personal perception. For example, I have a small gas generator IRL that sounds loud up close but fades to fridge-level noise with a wall or some distance. That is my perception, though others may differ. Some facts are universal, like the risk of carbon monoxide, but in the end good gameplay is fun gameplay. Realism can add to the fun or drain it, depending on how it is applied.

:D i run a server 10 years for this game and i always have the "but it's not realistic" feedback.
A video game wouldn't be fun if everything was realistic.

Ronnie Radke has some evidence against this claim.

real life is not a video game.

In real life we have resources that can reduce generator noise, but the game does not simulate that. The generator always plays at the same volume no matter the conditions. For longer play sessions this constant running sound can get annoying, so this mod helps by letting you adjust it. If you prefer, you can also make the generator louder, since the mod enables both options.
