Description
[WOTC] Old War Class - Gunner
This is a personal class mod that brings back soldier classes from the XCOM:EW Long War.
The first release is the Gunner. According to my plan, I intend to port the other classes except for the Rocketeer.
This mod was created using perk packs made by other excellent modders.
If any issues arise, I will take it down.

About Old Gunner Class
-Primary Weapon: Cannon
-Secondary Weapon: Pistol(but useless...)
This class faithfully inherits the role of the Gunner from LW1. Armed with a powerful cannon, it specializes in suppressing enemies through abilities like Suppression and Overwatch. In addition, its defensive perks allow it to withstand enemy attacks on the front lines. Witness the return of the LW1 Gunner with your own eyes!

-The SAW Gunner skill tree focuses on supporting the squad by suppressing enemies, utilizing hologram and other perks.
-The Sentry skill tree enhances Overwatch capabilities to restrict enemy movement and actions.
-The Machine Gunner skill tree emphasizes heavy firepower with high ammo consumption, combined with survivability-oriented perks.
-In case you're wondering why the Lockdown perk is available at Squaddie rank:
In Long War 1, using a cannon to suppress an enemy would grant the Opportunist perk (which is similar to Cool Under Pressure in XCOM 2).

-GTS Perk: Havok(Suppression and Area Suppression abilities now deals one point of guarenteed damage to the primary target)
The GTS perk becomes available when an Old Gunner reaches Rank 5 (Captain), and it can be unlocked in the GTS by spending 75 Supplies.
If you want, you can modify the required rank and supply cost in the XComStrategyTuning.ini file.

Compatibility
This mod requires War of the Chosen and will not work with vanilla XCOM 2.
I'm not sure this mod works with LWOTC. Because I don't play with it...
Optional Hidden Class: Van Doorn
For reference, this also includes a Van Doorn Class. When I played LW1, I always used Van Doorn as a Gunner class, and because I wanted to see him in XCOM 2, I have added the Van Doorn Class. If anyone wants to use it, go to ~\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\268500\3563824674\Config\XComClassData.ini and remove the semicolon (;) from the line ;+SoldierClasses="GS_VanDoorn".
The Van Doorn class features a dedicated Tank skill tree, making it even tougher than the Old Gunner!
The following additional mods are required to play Van Doorn class properly.
- Modpocalypse Perk Pack (https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2936550132)
Currently, the Van Doorn class is unable to receive the GTS perk. This issue will be addressed in a future update soon.

I also wish that feature was available, but unfortunately, I don't have any programming skills.
This mod simply arranges various perks generously provided by other amazing modders, so it doesn't include the functionality you're asking about…

Thank you very much for porting the Gunner from LW1 to xcom2. The Workshop really needs such great mods. I wonder if you have made any changes to the Holo Targeting? Can it still provide Area suppression and add holo markers to multiple targets like it did in LW1? This is an excellent mod, and I look forward to your reply.
