Alkaline Weapon Variety Pack

Description
The first in a planned series of mods, the Alkaline series seeks to introduce a variety of well crafted additions with interesting features to vanilla blocks without outright replacing them, and minimizing new components and ammo types.

All these turrets use the vanilla ammo and projectiles, so to my understanding, this mod should work fine with Vanilla+ Framework. If mod conflicts are found, I will update the description.

The Weapons Variety Pack adds a dozen turrets, reusing the vanilla ammo types to make variations of the vanilla turrets. Shotgun-gatlings, large autocannons, battleship turrets, rocket barrages, burst-fire cannons, small rifle turrets, ball gunners, railgun cannons, and a few more are included.

no weaponcore? sad they look pretty good. oh well i guess i cant have ecery weapon mod. if ever add to weaponcore i'll check them out then.

Really? I've always heard that ease for moders was the biggest draws for moders to use weaponcore.

1) I'm not CURRENTLY planning on adding these to WeaponCore, because I've heard it's not developer friendly. Could be wrong about that though, so i'll check out how hard that'll be eventually.

2) By 'reusing vanilla ammo types', I mean my turrets are designed to use the same Gatling Gun Magazines that you'd shove into the vanilla Large Gatling Gun turrets. Ammo compatability. I don't like how some mods introduce 17 new magazines, where some don't have any meaningful changes to vanilla ammo, or are used for a singular turret or static weapon block, or whatever.

I mean i get it, by my understanding the code is designed so that gatling turrets don't shoot gatling bullets directly, the ammo box files determine what bullets get spawned when a turret consumes ammo.

3) Like the vanilla turrets, the large turrets have a range of 800 meters, with small blocks having 600, with a few specific ones deviating by +/- 200m.

Very cool looking weapon pack. You mention you reuse vanilla ammo types? Do you mean by a 1 for 1 reuse and no original ammo for the weapons? Or ammo with their own values but using the vanilla combat system? Just trying to get some clarity on that.

While this pack isn't built with Vanilla+ Framework in mind, there theoretically shouldn't be any conflicts between the two mods. Even if i added code so the turrets could use the Vanilla+ Framework, nothing would happen, at least to my understanding.

Using mods that change the vanilla projectiles (like homing vanilla rockets) will also theoretically change the ammo these turrets shoot as well.
