After like ten days I somehow managed to finish SEVEN more submachine guns. This is the biggest addon I have ever posted. Within (and outside) the lifespan of cold war, treyarch decided to add some seriously unusual weapons to the smg lineup. Alongside that, they balanced some to be more balanced than others. Admit it, probably half your deaths in cold war (if you played it) came from submachine guns. With this fact, I really hoped for a more diverse selection of weapon classes in matches.


1) MAC-10

"Full-auto submachine gun. Fastest fire rate in class with higher vertical recoil. Improved handling speeds with reduced damage."

First DLC smg. They surprisingly modeled this one pretty nicely and the animations are alright. One of the good and accurate guns they added(except the weird side charging handle like the milano). I did this before on ArcCW.

Havent used it but I do remember seeing it used sometimes.

Unfoldable stock and other unique stocks are available as customization options. Curved mags too for some reason. Boring barrel attachments.


2) LC10

"Full-auto submachine gun. Well rounded with excellent damage range and good accuracy. Moderate damage with an impressive muzzle velocity and a high fire rate."

Oh boy, where do I start with this... Two things in particular piss me the ♥♥♥♥ off with this weapon. 1, its not real. 2, alongside it being fake, they forgot to put downsides to it, making it unbelievably powerful. This is the peak of making fake and inaccurate ♥♥♥♥ for the game. This is like how my brain would generate the walther mpk in my dreams after not seeing it for 10 years. Ugliest gun in the game.

I swear more than half my deaths came from this gun. Like I said, no downsides, this thing is better than assault rifles at distance. If you mainly used this smg, I hope your bloodline ends with you. Only this and another gun I'm about to call out almost made me uninstall the game.

You can attach stuff to it, i guess.


3) PPSh-41

"Full-auto submachine gun. Faster fire rate with a large bullet spread. Reliable damage range with less control when firing."

Okay, an accurate smg this time with a solid looking model. Good animations.

Can't remember the last time I saw this used in game.

Interesting stuff here, every barrel attachment is taken from some other gun, usual drum and straight magazines, weird looking stocks, some unique muzzle attachments and bunch of new foregrips.


4) OTs 9

"Full-auto submachine gun. Impressive firepower at close range with good visibility while firing. Reliable recoil control with a smaller magazine size."

Every animator was on leave so the poor janitor had to do the animations. Not bad for a janitor though. They made a good model for this.

I don't even have this gun unlocked. When I checked the unlock challenge I understood why. Adding unfun challenges to unlock stuff shouldn't be a thing. Haven't seen it in game too much.

Outside of three unique muzzle devices, this has weird barrels, weird stocks, weird mags. On par with most cold war weapons.


5) TEC-9

"Semi-auto submachine gun. Improved accuracy with minimal recoil. High damage output with moderate range."

Hey, they did something different, they put a semi-auto submachine gun. Different stuff is good right? Not this time. After the LC10 disaster, they made yet another overpowered smg. They added a full-auto muzzle device with no damage downsides so it essentially like insta kills people. Semi-interesting gun with horrible in-game experience. Animations are meh but the model is not bad.

If you used this in cold war when it was broken, likewise with LC10, your bloodline needs to end. I'm not sorry. As you can guess, this gun flooded matches.

For the first time with this gun, they added muzzle attachments that change the fire mode. Burst-fire and Full-auto converter muzzles are available. Besides that, its got curved magazines again, and more reused barrel and stock attachments. At least you can collapse the stock.


6) LAPA

"Full-auto submachine gun. Lightweight prototype with reliable damage and good firing control. Improved handling and range with a slower fire rate."

Someone over there making guns for cold war has lost it. Missing every shot at making accurate weapons for the era every step of the way. This time they added a failed brazilian prototype smg for season 6 with super boring animations. I personally don't get the interest in adding so many prototypes to this game.

No memories about anything related to this gun in game, except Woods holding it in the start screen.

They decided to go out their way and make unique barrel stats for the first time. Reused stock models from previous guns. Though the extended mags are a bit interesting maybe.


7) UGR

"Full-auto submachine gun. Underwater rifle modified for improved land performance. Fires 5.66mm steel darts with moderate bullet velocity."

At least they ended it off with something relatively cool. They added this gun so late in a random update. Classified as smg for some reason. Made it so you can fire underwater despite the description because why not. This was one of the unreleased testing guns I made in late 2022, updated by then of course.

I have 2 kills with this in the game. That should explain a bunch.

Real magazine of the rifle is an attachment that makes it somehow explosive. Unique barrels and one proprietary foregrip but the rest are reused models but you can give it to them at this point. I think this is the very last weapon they released on cold war.

these bocw weapons are suffering from success call of duty has such stupid customization that i almost dislike these packs because the creators are so good at porting them over
