Shell Shards are the backbone of Hornet’s toolkit. They’re a crafting material used to make and refill Tools, the consumable weapons like pins, projectiles and bombs that complement her needle.

Every Tool has a durability meter; resting at a bench automatically spends Shell Shards to repair whatever you have equipped.

Unlike Rosaries, Shell Shards don’t disappear on death, and both caches and enemy drops provide steady income. That reliability makes them a key resource for staying aggressive in combat. Manage them wisely and you’ll spend more time attacking than scrambling for supplies.

The simplest method is to fight everything that moves. Each defeated enemy drops Shell Shards alongside Rosaries.

To maximize gains, revisit enemy-dense areas: leaving and re-entering a room resets enemy spawns, giving you an endless source of shards.

Early-game zones are ideal because enemies are slower and easier to dispatch. Keep pressure on foes and you’ll quickly build a healthy shard supply.

The second method is exploration.

Throughout Pharloom you’ll find statues known as Shell Shard Deposits. Smashing these deposits yields a pile of shards. Because deposits don’t respawn, they’re more like treasure chests than farms, but clearing every one you see adds up fast.

You can also harvest Shell Shards from caches (resource pickups) scattered around the world that yield both Rosaries and shards. Make a habit of breaking every suspicious statue or pile and you’ll never run dry.
