Tired of your smg infantry not being able to defend itself just because they are a few meters away and the arbitrary range limit makes the guns useless?
ME TOO i set all infantry weapons ranges to 120 meters, and up the damage 5x as for increased lethality
Rocket launchers have also recieve increased ranges, all the faust have the range associated with their names and all shoulder launchers (panzerschreck, bazooka and recoiless m8) now have 100 meter range to give the tanks Coaxial some fighting chance

Infantry should be the jack of all trades in the battlefield, the most dominant forces if used correctly, and their hard counter should be other infantry forces, this is what this mod aims to address.

The firefights should be more lethal between infantry forces, all infantry weapons should be lethal at 120mts but still have a role to play, so SMGs cant be dominant in long ranges but are a very useful tool to close distances and suppress defenders, rifles can drop attackers from a distances and MGs can hold down entire sectors, while autorifles and assault rifles are versatile tools of war making the battlefields more dinamic and tactical in nature.

AT infantry are deadly to tanks, and within 100 mts are a death sentence for any armour opponent not paying attention

Updated, reduce slightly the damage
Could you do the range and make the damage like 2-3 times normal and not so harsh?

Thanks for your feedback! the mod does do that, arty becomes vulnerable and should be look after by second line infantry and fortify their position againts infantry assaults (remember heavy/stationary MGs are devasting against infantry), against AI i would recommend using this mod with other mods that modify difficulty since vanilla tents to miss-use their forces and simply charge. as for casualties they are numerous and quick to pile up, so use of smoke and multiple infantry forces its required

2: Too many instant dead. I love the idea of these firefights being quick, savage, and defining, they should be! But as it stands this mod has every single soldier a crack shot JSOC unit & the KIA - the pace at which they die - is too fast. Were walking super fast engagements with every unit hit in the dome KIA. The medics have no work to do! lol

Observations:

1: It does some weird things to how the dynamic of other set pieces of the game play out. At 5x lethality there are frequently totally wiped out fields of battle, leading to lopsided engagements in the secondary front with tanks and arty especially. Arty is much more vulnerable as the soldiers feel God Tier compared to them now. At least for someone like myself who manages infantry fairly well & completed most missions on Hard, it feels like i'm steamrolling the A.I because simply said, they're just not anywhere near the level of a decent player at microing the individual units cover options and readjusting. I can effectively wipe multiple squads of germans and all their support pieces with a USA Ranger team. It's FUN! But definitely way overpowered.

I had some great matches in local skirmish. I 100% see what your going for here and i FEEL the difference in the engagements with infantry. It is much more believable & devestating each infantry engagement.

Which files need to be modified to do this? I want a mod like this for every mod, I'm happy to do it myself if I knew which bloody files to change. Ive tried googling it to no avail. I would double ranges from this even.
