Rhodesia/Zimbabwe | African bush

Description
Titambire muZimbabwe! / Welcome to Rhodesia!

African Bush and Kalahari Desert
Exotic Africa welcomes its international friends! You are at the junction of two worlds, in the southwest of Zimbabwe/Rhodesia! Here the arid climate of the great Kalahari Desert collides with the green Rhodesian bush. These two natural zones are separated by the drying Mvura Inopera River. To the south of the river bed lies an endless desert with rare trees, under which you can sometimes find a hyena or an angry jackal hiding from the scorching sun. To the north stretches a vast savannah, full of bushes and grass, an excellent place for guerrilla warfare, if you know what I mean, especially considering the close border with Botswana. There are no large settlements or wide roads here, this is real Africa, which they won’t tell you about on Radio Moscow. The locals have to endure many hardships: the primitive African way of life is marred by constant droughts, and every year the desert encroaches on the fertile lands of the savannah. The years of imperialist slavery that depleted this land are over forever, but their shadow still hangs over the entire country.

Not long ago, the people of Zimbabwe suffered, rattling the chains of colonialism, but now, proud and brave Africans are paving the way to their bright future, not without the help of comrades from the USSR, of course. The Zimbabwean people will find their new happy life, and you will help them with this. It is not easy to survive here, but we are not looking for easy ways.

Terrain
The arid desert in the south, rich in oil, bauxite, coal, iron, and even uranium, depends on the fertile north by local standards. Logistics in the region are difficult, the only major road has long been abandoned and is in poor condition, and the bridge over the Mvura Inopera River has long been crumbling under its own weight, the only evidence that there was once a civilization here. The wood species growing in the bush are widely valued for their strength and moisture resistance.
