Description
Signs & Potions
A Witcher-inspired combat potion & sign mod for Conan Exiles.

About
Signs & Potions brings Witcher-style alchemy and signs to Conan Exiles. Ten handcrafted potions with distinct effects, and two combat signs (Quen & Igni) that work the way you'd expect: defensive wards and a fiery cone attack. Potions are powerful, but they come with risk a custom Toxicity mechanic limits how many you can safely swallow.

Key features
  • 10 combat potions each with unique gameplay effects and descriptive item tooltips.
  • Toxicity system potions stack a toxicity debuff; at high toxicity you begin taking damage until you recover.
  • Two signs: Quen & Igni Quen blocks/stagger prevention; Igni fires a cone of sparks and applies a burning DOT.
  • Server-admin tuning - admins can adjust damage scaling, toxicity decay, cooldowns and more.

How Toxicity works
Toxicity is a stacking debuff that ticks down over time. It does not harm you until you reach the overtoxify threshold (default >70). At that point your body begins taking periodic damage (a percentage of max HP). The classic White Honey potion removes toxicity but also removes any active potion bonuses use it as a last resort.

Potions
  • Lesser Thunderbolt
  • Thunderbolt
  • Enhanced Thunderbolt
  • White Honey
  • Cat
  • Arachas Decoction
  • Stoneheart
  • Full Moon
  • Maribor Forest
  • Leshen Decoction
All potion effects, durations and stats are shown in each item's tooltip in-game. Explore and experiment each brew behaves differently.

Signs
  • Quen - defensive ward: blocks an incoming attack without staggering you and slightly pushes back nearby enemies. Great for surviving heavy hits but it wont prevent fatal hits! (Game limitations)
  • Igni - offensive sign: fires a cone of sparks and flame in front of you, staggering enemies and applying a burning damage-over-time based on the initial hit. Igni scales primarily from whichever of Strength or Agility is higher (soft cap at 70).

Server admin options
Server owners can tune:
  • overall sign damage and cooldowns
  • toxicity behavior (decay rates / stacks per tick)
  • other balancing variables (exposed in the mod settings)

For Admins & Compatibility
  • All items are currently admin spawn only, you can choose how to distribute them, put them in vendors, make quests with them, etc... its up to you admins at least for now.
  • Nothing changes base game assets and all is custom made so it should not conflict with anything in theory.
  • Admin settings can be accessed by opening the console with the tilde key and writing: datacmd psp
  • If you run into conflicts (especially mods that change potion, stats or animation systems), please report them on the Discord.

Known issues / WIP
This mod is actively being developed. While core systems are stable, I haven't tested every possible mod combination across all server configs. If you find bugs, crashes, or odd behavior, please report them on the Discord (link below) and include logs/screenshots where possible. Your reports help a ton.

This looks cool. I've honestly felt like alchemy needed a boost in Conan Exiles.
