Believe It or Not Catch a Tsuchinoko You can capture the Tsuchinoko right after the “The Fear” boss fight. In Graniny Gorki South, set at least one Mousetrap near the exit to Ponizovje Warehouse. Then, move back and forth between Ponizovje Warehouse and Graniny Gorki South until the Mousetrap catches something. If it snags a different animal, discard it and continue until you finally catch the Tsuchinoko. Remember to save before eating the Tsuchinoko for the Food Collection, as you need to finish the game with it in your inventory to unlock the Infinity Face Paint. After The Sorrow boss fight, proceed until the next cutscenes with Eva. After that go to outside the waterfall to find the Tsuchinoko, use the Mk22 to capture it.

Some tips for your run: • Do it on NG+ after acquiring all GA-KOs. This will unlock the AT camo, which is very useful in this difficulty and doesn’t count towards “Special items used.” The AT camo improves your camo index, and many camos go up to 95%, which makes you practically invisible even while moving. • In NG+, you get a lot of uniforms with special abilities. The most useful ones for me were the face paint that makes you never drown, and the camo that makes your silencer infinite. • Always load the saved game after dying. If you continue, you'll lose the FOXHOUND rank. • 5 hours is plenty of time. I got it in 2 hours, so don’t worry about picking up some useful items and food along the way. • You can only get 15 serious injuries because 5 are story-related. • Use the healing radio stations if needed: 140.16 141.42 146.45 148.66 149.39 142.42 145.18 148.78 • Groznyj Grad after Snake’s torture is the hardest part (IMO), but you can make it a little easier. To do that, you’ll need to detonate the food storehouse with C4 (the one with 2 Calorie Mates and one ration). By doing so, enemies will become hungry and more vulnerable to melee attacks, and a single roll from Snake will knock them down. Remember to detonate the storehouse on your first visit to Groznyj Grad. The Pain • If you're in NG+ use the Grenade uniform for infinite grenades. • You can use grenades and smoke grenades to disperse the bees around him. • On the other side of the water, there’s a small rock platform with a spawn for Mk22 bullets. The Fear • Bring some Spiders from Graniny Gorki to throw on the ground for him to eat. When he starts to run, shoot him with the Mk22. Keep following him and repeat this strategy until he dies. The Fury • The Fury is not that hard, just keep your distance and shoot him with your Mosin-Nagant. • The Cardboard Box can be used to extinguish fire. • Shoot the pipes to extinguish the flames. This will make them shoot less at you. The Boss • Just keep hiding behind the branches and wait for The Boss to hide too, then use the Mosin-Nagant to shoot her. When she rushes at you, learn to parry her attacks and then shoot her while she’s on the ground. • There is a spawn for Mk22 and Mosin-Nagant bullets on the field.
