Description
The world revolves around the River of Life, a stream that flows 'under' the world, from which all life comes from. The closer the connection to the river, the more fundamental and basic the nature.
That means things scale from being ethereal and powerful (but have little interaction with the world) to being cunning (and a good leader) but magically very weak.

At the start of the game most things are ethereal and as time progress the river becomes more spread out and the game approaches something closer to a realism mod with a fantasy map.

Currently only the first era has been developed.

This mod is vaguely based on Mushishi

Event Related Major Changes:
  • Province Modifiers:
    • Dynamic Development:
      - On average, 100 years means +1 dev (really depends on many factors)
      - Can lose dev if not spec'd correctly
      - Odd Balance of Dev will cause negative effects
    • Local Trade Dynamics:
      - Disease
      - Blight
      - Crop Failure
      - Fires
    • Local Corruption
  • Culture Spread:
    - Happens if culture is not the owner culture and the province has grown in dev
  • Frontier Development:
    - If a province on the frontier has a fort, it may inspire local expansion

  • Mushi:
    - Belief in the invisible creatures known as Mushi
  • Munshi:
    - More religious in nature, but stems from Mushi
  • Koukism:
    - Believes in Reincarnation

Buildings:
  • Arcane University:
    - To develop research into the arcane

Estates:
  • Fae Kratocracy:
    - Gain Favors (to be cashed in with Fae goodwill)
    - Strong Mercs
    - Exchange Powers

Governments:
  • Kratocracy:
    - Prioritizes being magically powerful
  • Power Classification:
    - Restricts interactions to certain powers

Institutions:
  • Collective Consciousness:
    - A universality of the origin of life
  • Hierarchy:
    - Natural Progress
  • Feudalism:
    - Governmental Hierarchy
  • Naissance:
    - Birth (The idea of having ideas)

Tech:
  • Adm Tech:
    - Changed to reflect Institutions slightly

Ages:
  • Age of Fae:
    - The primary focus of this update is to get this time period feeling somewhat complete

Development:
  • Tall Dev:
    - Restricted by Dev Modifiers AND Corruption/Focus locks
  • Wide Dev:
    - Made more complex by a more dynamic Economy
    - Less incentivized due to lack of dev at start
    - Frontier Colonization helps balance this

Magic Power (may be renamed):
  • Used to represent effort put into understanding this world's arcane nature
  • Can be used in events/decisions/etc.

Genetics:
  • Race:
    • Mushi:
      - Refers to the supposed invisible non-sapient species the Fae claim to be the first inhabitants of the world. Belief in Mushi slowly wanes with time.
    • Fae:
      - Generally considered to be the ancestors of all life on Yatw. Very strong powers, very incompetent.
    • Danuatha:
      - The natural descendants of Fae. Less powerful, more competent.
    • Aosi:
      - Pretty much human.
  • Powers:
    - Earth
    - Fire
    - Water
    - Air

Diplomacy:
  • Race:
    - Kratocracy royal marriage negation
