Type-55 Multirole Gunship

As the operational of the Type-31 gunship in the IUF fleet is facing some problems since its introduction in 2209, and the development of the Type-32 have been facing several delays, the International Union is in need of a large multi-mission warships that projects power similar or even more than Type-31 gunships, with a more smaller size and better maneuverability. With this, the Southern Luna Design Bureau proposes two solutions. One of them, is introducing a new class of ships, named the Type-55 Multirole Gunship.

This class of ships is designed to fulfill the gap between Type-31 & Type-32 gunships, while also supports the IUF fleet projection in the midst of Type-31 operational ineffectiveness. As of the planned projection number, the IUF has planned for up to 11 ships of this class.


Type-55 has the length of 149 meters, with the hull diameter of 22,1 meters, and a total diameter of 77,9 meters. The ships is armed with 130mm & 76mm Primary Cannons, GPM-55A Missile Systems, and Integrated Laser Systems.
