Malcom Stark is an expert in handling explosives.
A former private security agent for public figures in Grand Chien, he is now a member of the Freedom Front.
A communist fighter driven by ideals of equality and sharing, he eventually followed the movement and, like others, joined A.I.M., where his skills could finally earn him a living.

Bobby Ray, the arms dealer and fellow explosives enthusiast, knows him well. Years ago, both of them worked alongside Barry, preparing gear for the International Association of Mercenaries.
It was then that Harvey "RGD" Leblanc had the brilliant idea of mixing Pastis with a batch of highly volatile compounds used to make C4.
The strong, lingering anise smell turned out to be the perfect bait to lure in rebels and terrorists.

Thanks to this trick, they managed to intercept a convoy of illicit goods coming from the west. Malcom later recounted how enemy soldiers, exhausted after months at sea, landed on the coast starving and thirsty.
Drawn by the strange scent of anise drifting inland, their commander followed it without hesitation. His starving men trailed behind him blindly, hoping for food or drink.

A kilometer later-BOOM.

Malcom's trap had worked. Bobby and Barry couldn't believe such a ridiculous idea had actually succeeded, but in the end, results mattered most.
When the three arrived on the scene, no enemy was left intact-scattered across the sand like rose petals on a Valentine's bed.
The ship was left at A.I.M.'s mercy, along with its entire cargo of narcotics.
