The TAF-1 Talisman was the IU’s first true space-capable tactical fighter, bridging the gap between atmospheric jets and Prototech-enhanced craft. Conceived during the late Prototech Wars, it was designed for dual-environment operations, able to dogfight both in orbit and within planetary skies. Its adaptability and rugged engineering made it a staple of the Union Spacy after the war.

The fighter’s name honors its legendary test pilot, Callsign: Talisman-1, who lost his life during a high-risk prototype flight. His sacrifice cemented the aircraft’s reputation as both a breakthrough and a burden: advanced yet dangerous, demanding the best from those who flew it. Over time, “Talisman” became synonymous with courage under impossible odds.

Though later eclipsed by next-generation designs such as the SSF-21 Morning-Star, the Talisman remains iconic. Its variants fought in the fiercest battles of the late Prototech Wars, and many IU veterans still revere it as the machine that carried humanity’s first hopes into the stars. Today, the Talisman’s insignia—a silver winged talisman—marks an elite cadre of pilots who continue its legacy within the Union Spacy.

Unfortunately, after much effort, I have been unable to fix this and decided to upload anyways with this warning. Furthermore for survival use the craft will need stocked with the necessary items.
