This is a Traditional Chinese localization/mod for Mercenary Kings: Reloaded Edition, compatible with the latest game version.

The title is written only in English because after many failed attempts I realized the errors were caused by having Chinese characters in the title 😤

Although this is already an old game, I only recently came across it by chance.

I soon discovered that the existing Chinese localization mods had long since stopped working, and I couldn’t find any other language packs elsewhere.

Since the game has quite a bit of text, I really wanted a Chinese version, so I spent time making this localization mod myself.

Disclaimer: I’m not good at English, so all the translations were done with the help of ChatGPT. If anything sounds off, go blame it 😛

The game mainly uses Japanese fonts, which support Traditional Chinese characters fairly well. While some characters are still missing, more than 90% of them display correctly.

I’ve only done an initial check—missing characters were replaced with similar-looking ones or homophones.

I also made a Simplified Chinese localization mod, but only after finishing did I realize the game’s font has very poor Simplified Chinese support, with many missing characters.

So, for Simplified Chinese users, I still recommend using this Traditional Chinese mod. But since I already made it, I’m releasing the Simplified version as well in case anyone wants to give it a try.
