Description
  • This mod makes building floors a lot more useful. A room exceeding a minimum size and having a minimum percentage of proper flooring will apply bonuses like rest rate and comfort to beds in baracks or bedrooms, workspeed factor for workbenches, research speed for research benches, cooking speed for stoves and comfort to chairs and sofas
  • All requirements and effects are fully configurable in the mod settings (see screenshots)
  • Moreover, beds in a bedroom or barracks get an additional flat bonus to rest rate and comfort if the min size requirement is fullfilled
  • Any bonus is only applied if the room has a roof!

How to validate the mod behavior
  • Place a bed and check its rest rate or comfort stat
  • See how the calculation changes if the bed is in a bedroom or barracks
  • Check again once the bedroom or barracks get a roof
  • Look what happens when you start adding "good floor"
  • Tweak the bonuses and thresholds in the settings UI

Thank you! Planning to roll out the flooring bonus to all room types soon including kitchens, workshops and laboratories.
