Slingshot Knight

Among all the weapons of Eral, one stands alone; the apex of the technology of war, the destroyer of nations, the fulcrum upon which the fate of the land itself is balanced.

That weapon... is not the slingshot. But there are a bunch of guys who really like slingshots, and they have something to teach you.

The Slingshot Knight is a mid- to late-game class roughly on par with Krakenslayer or Ignis Knight. And, as you might have guessed, most of its abilities are restricted to the use of slingshots. Don't write it off - the ancient slingshot knight techniques pack surprising power!

This mod features one unlockable class (the titular Slingshot Knight) and one combat zone.
You'll need a keen eye to find the hideout of the slingshot masters. Start your search in a place that's already hidden from view.

Class Abilities:
  • Jump Shot: Jump to a nearby tile and fire your slingshot backwards when you land. Jump distance scales with your Jump stat.
  • Boot Strap: Kick an adjacent target. Then, if there's nothing obstructing your shot, follow up with a slingshot shot.
  • Goliath's Bane: Charge to prepare a shot that deals more damage against targets with more Max HP than you. The greater the difference in Max HP, the more damage this will cause.
  • Nut Shot: Fire a walnut from your slingshot that cracks in half at the target tile, causing the shell halves to fire off in opposite directions. The split shots gain range when the initial target is further away.
  • Burn Shot: Charge to write an incendiary taunt on a pellet and launch it at a target. Struck targets are inflicted wtih "Rage", lowering defenses and increasing Physical Attack, for some time. A struck foe is also Burned. Nearby foes are forced to look at you when the pellet is shot.


Passives:
  • Sling Riposte: Counter any blocked enemy attack with a sling shot. Works at close range.
  • Advanced Geomancy: Use nearby debris, rocks or rubble to massively increase the damage of normal (i.e. non-lucky) slingshots for a while.
  • Elaster Master: If your offhand weapon is a slingshot, make an extra shot with it for 40% damage when attacking. Works at close range.
  • Opportunist: Gain +2 range with slingshot attacks and Slingshot Knight skills. Not guaranteed to work with skills from other classes.
  • Elite: Aspect of Menace: Automatically fire your slingshot at any foe that has its back to you when performing an action.
