Reincarnate The Dead - As Descendants (Mod Revival)

Description
MOD REVIVAL or should I say Reincarnation?!
Original Mod Credit to @kReoSo & Special Thanks to @FunGaming44 for keeping the original mod alive. (Links at the bottom)

What's Different?
This version is functionally nearly the same with the biggest differences being two things that I personally wanted:

1) All reincarnated characters will be descendants/children of their original counterparts. I wanted this specifically to have family-tree continuity when reviving dead houses and to maintain lore. (Originally the reincarnated character would create a separate disconnected tree.)

2) The default costs to reincarnate is set to None. When you're midgame and can't change gamerules, this mod is here to save you.

I also highly recommend both the Divine Intervention Cheat Menu mod if you want to edit the age and traits of the reincarnated characters, again, to make sense lore-wise,
and the Better Barbershop mod if you want to add some changes to the DNA.

Contents
You can pick a dead one and reincarnate it.

It costs some piety(game rule 1), has some cooldown(game rule 2) and also you should have some counties in your realm which have the same cultural heritage as the reincarnated(game rule 3).
If you hate those requirements, simply turn the debug mode on. It'll bypass most of those requirements.

There are some game rules for the multiple reincarnations for the same character(game rule 4).
Unique - Only 1 alive reincarnated character is allowed per person.
Few - Up to 3 alive reincarnated characters are allowed per person. There is a soul division debuff when there are more than 1 alive reincarnated characters per person.
Many - Up to 5 alive reincarnated characters are allowed per person. There is a soul division debuff when there are more than 1 alive reincarnated characters per person.
Free - No limitation, no debuffs.

Game rules are in the category : RTD

Usage
1. Open the dynasty house window you want
2. Click living members
3. Open the filter
4. Change Alive to Dead
5. Choose one and click the reincarnate icon

You'll have a choice between a baby and an 18 year-old. If you choose the baby option, its reincarnation is revealed(it receives skill bonuses and the reincarnation trait) at 16 yrs old.
If you choose the 18 year-old option, it'll copy all the traits the original one had.(But not the attributes and the nickname.) You'll also be able to determine the gender of the clone, it's dynasty, whether you adopt it or not, and depending on your traits, you may also be able to add some of your, uh, own material...

It'll have the same first name, culture, faith and DNA(if possible) as the original.

Combatibility Notes

Author, you are really great. I really like this mod. I thought generating a genealogy of reincarnated characters was a continuity haha, but it turns out there is only one generation. If only Carolingian members could be formed in 1178 and continue for several generations from 867.

Hey @Nalethyst, do you remember if you had other mods loaded, and what action specifically caused errors to occur?

Hey @h0ousebug, thanks for reaching out. I just started a new game loading this mod only, and I didn't seem to have the same issue. I started two new games, with and without custom characters and had no issues even when reincarnating characters.
I'm assuming then that it was likely caused by a mod conflict. This mod itself doesn't have many conflicts that I'm aware of, so I'm unsure which mods could be causing such a reaction. You could try starting a game without this mod, and then using it after the new game has been fully generated.

Best of luck, hope this is some help.

I subscribed to this mod and started a new game, but all my existing characters were dead and replaced with random characters. Simply disabling the mod didn't fix it, so I reinstalled the game and got it back. To see if this mod was the cause, I subscribed again and started a new game, and the same thing happened again. Any idea what could be causing this?

Works perfectly. Thank you for this

For some reason the message of the reincarnation being one was full of Errors? Like "Child.GetHerHim" and multiple of those with different names. I got some more mods but that never happened lmao

Thank you for doing the family tree continuity rather than a disconnected tree!

If I'm understanding the question correctly, you're wondering if you could reincarnate a character without the original character being its progenitor.
The answer is a yes kind-of. There is an option for you to adopt the reincarnated character as your child instead. However, if you use the "Divine Intervention Cheat Menu" mod, you can change parents/dynasty pretty easily. You could also use the "Reincarnate The Dead - UPDATED" mod that I linked at the bottom of the description that doesn't add parentage.

Hope this helps :)
