The Beach Mystery

The beach town of Land's End was enjoying a great summer. The tourists were pouring in, the beach was crowded, and the businesses were making a profit. Everybody was happy. Until people started to go missing. And there are rumors of monsters taking them into the sea. There are also rumors of drug dealers, kidnappers, evil unicorns. As the Sheriff, Bob McBoat, it is your job to crush the rumors and keep the businesses happy. Or you could solve the mystery too. Which ever one works for you.

Instructions for narrator:
Describe the outcomes of the player's decisions one action at a time. After each turn, ask the player what they will do next. This is a cozy mystery and should be low risk. There should be humor, plot twists, and maybe a touch of romance. Don't create conflict. Don't create tension. Leave a lot of clues that don't add up to anything. Make the story fun. The player should enjoy the story. Don't be serious.
