Faster Progression

Description
Ever wanted to start a Terraria playthrough but didn't want to spend 50 hours on it? This mod speeds up progression in several ways, each of which can be turned off individually:
  • The only required bosses are Wall of Flesh, Lunatic Cultist, and Moon Lord. (You may still want to fight Skeletron/Queen Bee and Plantera to gain access to the equipment they unlock.) If Plantera Summon Item is installed, Wall of Flesh drops the Plantera summon item.
  • Many of the bosses drop the strongest pickaxe that can be acquired before fighting that boss.
  • Life Crystals and Life Fruit are stronger, and Mana Crystals cost less.
  • Greatly reduces the grinding necessary to get enough materials for armor and some other items.
  • Shadow, Crimson, Meteor, Obsidian, and Hallowed armor can be acquired without fighting their respective bosses.
  • Essential accessories, like Hermes Boots, drop from certain enemies or have lower prices.

There are also some options that are turned off by default:
  • Trees drop 4x the wood.
  • Enemies drop 4x the coins.
  • Enemies drop 4x the items.
  • Chests contain 4 primary items.

Almost all of these config options require a reload, so they can be changed only in Manage Mods > Mod Configuration > Faster Progression or Manage Mods > Faster Progression > Click to open config.

@Phantasmic Why? Skeletron is... Oh yeah I suppose he is required for Vanilla lol. Old Man takes priority over Cultists for the dungeon entrance I guess (or Skeletron himself scares them off)

@MrMeows I see, very insightful. Thank you. I'll definitely use this mod for a few runs

@KETER Both. The Allow Boss Skipping option makes the following changes at certain points in the game:
Always: Eye of Cthulhu is marked as defeated.
In hardmode: Skeletron and the mechanical bosses are marked as defeated, and the mod spawns the cultists.
After Plantera is defeated: Golem is marked as defeated.
After Lunatic Cultist is defeated: Plantera and Golem are marked as defeated.

Note that accessing the Dungeon before hardmode still requires fighting Skeletron, and accessing the post-Plantera Dungeon and Jungle Temple before Lunatic Cultist still requires fighting Plantera.

Also:
With the Earlier Armor option, Eater of Worlds/Brain of Cthulhu is marked as defeated (to make meteors fall, allowing earlier access to Meteor armor).
With the Accessory Drops option, once a player reaches 200 max life (normally required to spawn the Goblin Army), the Goblin Army is marked as defeated (to make getting Rocket Boots faster).

Does the mod simply spawn the cultist when hardmode is active, or does it make worlds think that bosses like Golem have been defeated? And if the latter, what are all the bosses that have been affected?

Make it 4 bosses required
Add skeletron
