This mod makes the Persia faction in the WoS campaign playable.

As the Greek world tears itself apart in the bitter Peloponnesian Wars, the Persian Empire watches from the east, a colossus of wealth, power, and ambition. Though distant from the clashes of Athens and Sparta, Persia’s influence in the Aegean and Asia Minor grows ever stronger, seeking to exploit Greek divisions to expand its own dominion.

Under the rule of Artaxerxes I and his successors, Persia commands vast resources, a formidable navy, and seasoned satrapal armies drawn from across its sprawling territories—from the fertile lands of Babylon to the rugged highlands of Anatolia. Persia’s strategy is subtle: to play the Greek city-states against one another, providing aid to Sparta and its allies to weaken Athens, while simultaneously maintaining control over rebellious satrapies.

The Great King’s ambitions are clear — to reassert Persian supremacy in the Aegean, secure vital trade routes, and prevent the rise of any single Greek power that could threaten the empire’s borders. This is an age of realpolitik, where diplomacy and proxy warfare are as crucial as open battle.
