Description
DataNetworkConnector
This is a Plugin Mod.
It requires Bepinex to be installed with the StationeersLaunchPad plugin.

Once a young boy asked an old men
- Why if there are data networks and power networks, it is not possible to get only data from the cable?
- Why Area Power Controller can get power out of the cable... but you can't do the same with data?

Old men didn't answer, but he thought about it for a long time.
And then he fired up an editor and created a mod that allows you to connect your data networks.

StructureDataNetworkConnector
The device, built from the "Logic I/O" Kit, allows you to connect two data networks together.

How to use

  • Devices in the Input (Purple) network will be visible in the Output (Green) network.
  • Devices in the Output (Green) network will not be visible in the Input (Purple) network.
E.g if you have a logic writer on the right and a light on the left, you can connect them with a Data Network Connector and the light will be visible in the logic writer.


Same works with the IC10 and all other devices that use data networks.
Here, the IC10 on the right can control both lights, but the IC10 on the left can only control the light on the left.


Known Issues
  • Sometimes the Data Network Connector does not work properly when placed on a cable that is already connected to a power network. In this case, you can try to remove the cable and place it again.

Im having the same issue. Some other mods from tom_is_unlucky were having the same issue, according to discord.

Hi, the latest beta build appears to have broken this mod. Looks like a bunch of things in WorldManager has been moved.

With this mod loaded, the game fails to start and produces the following error:
MissingMethodException: Method not found: void .WorldManager.AddPrefab(Assets.Scripts.Objects.Thing)

Ooh, can make secured network control with no backward access and banking system with central database with it to use in hacking scenarios and some economic systems.

1. S: I'll try to, but not sure if it is implementable, since I follow the base game logic on the input/output sides - same as logic reader/writer
2. Q: Separate power connection is optional, you can power it from either A or B as long as it is separate

S: Add a left-to-right and a right-to-left variant. Mainly because of aestetics and power etc.
