Shadow Fix

Description
Fix for shadow mapping issue while panning the map observed on Nvidia GPUs.

When affected, you will see a vertical line in the middle of the screen while panning the map horizontally. On the left side of the screen, the shadows of trees and other map objects are rendered darker than on the right side of the screen. The issue is basically imperceptible on a still image but can't be unseen once seen in motion.

It has been reported to PDX multiple times in the past:

As well as to Nvidia:

This mod is an attempt to fix/work around the issue.

- Tested with CK3 version 1.16.x and 1.17.x.

- It doesn't change the checksum.

- It is compatible with existing saves and should be compatible with most if not all other mods.

- Only tested on Nvidia GPUs. May have adverse graphical effects on AMD and Intel.

Thank you all for your kind words. It is much appreciated.
@piosue Thank you for letting me know. I have checked the files this mod changes and can say that PDX has not changed them with version 1.17. I pushed an update to show compatibility. Steam may require 1-2 restarts, then the exclamation mark should be gone again.

FYI - the launch screen shows yellow exclamation point that the mod is not updated for current version of the game. BUT it still works just fine and no other issues.

I have nvidia card and this totally works for me. I don't know if it causes any issues I just now tested it for a minute but it seems fixed. I'm so happy right now. Thank you

@Pilatian Understood. That is unfortunate. Thanks for testing!

I tested it on my RX 6900 XT. It created pretty massive texture errors - polygonal planes in every direction. I forget what the term for it is, but safe to say that if it fixed the line, I wouldn't have been able to look at the screen going wild long enough to tell.

@Pilatian Have you tested it with an AMD GPU? If so, what effect does it have?
xoiben  [author] 11 Aug @ 3:02pm
@Huitzi0 Yes absolutely, it does not change the checksum.

Nice of you to try to fix it. Unfortunately, not much of a fix for those of us who get this exact issue with AMD. PDX really do not seem all too bothered by it.
