Description

The SVD (Russian: Снайперская винтовка Драгунова Snaiperskaya Vintovka Dragunova; lit. "Dragunov Sniper Rifle"), also known as the Dragunov or SVD Dragunov, is a semi-automatic precision rifle produced in Russia by Izhevsk Mechanical Works. It is chambered in 7.62×54mmR. It features reliable gas-operated action with a short-stroke piston and gas regulator. The SVDM (СВДМ) is a modernized version of the combat-proven SVD with improved performance. It is different from the SVD in having all wooden parts replaced with plastic ones.
