I have also added the Temporary Mining Outpost, which works similarly to the Excavation Pit but can be placed anywhere. Assigning tribesmen to it is much faster than using the Temporary Supply Camp — but the choice is yours. The Temporary Mining Outpost shares the same core features as a bonfire, with the exception that it is not actually a bonfire.

I created this mod because I found it frustrating that when I took my tribesmen with me to caves or mining areas, they wouldn’t help gather resources — they would simply stand around doing nothing. With this mod, they can now actively assist while we’re farming together.

You can build it anywhere, even in normally restricted zones where building is not allowed.

Once placed, it enables your tribesmen to perform nearby tasks such as mining, logging, and gathering herbs.


Key Features:

- Acts as a bonfire and takes up one bonfire slot
- Does not require fuel
- Can be built inside caves
- Has low durability (100 HP)
- Cannot be repaired and will break within an hour — even if assigned a tribesman to maintain it
- Shorter range than a regular bonfire
- Designed for servers: anyone can destroy it, including your friends and clan members

- Your tribesmen might sometimes behave unexpectedly due to AI limitations
