Description

Purgatory isn't a pretty place, and nor is it for the damned souls in Doom City

WARNING: This level is challenging. it involves ranged enemies and Beneath enemies. so if you aren't used to play these types of levels, i recommend you practice first.

Story:
You play as the unlucky victim who happend to have recently died, and is now forced to fight their way through purgatory. Your destination now: Doom City. this place represents a place of Corruption, Crime, Riots and Doomsday. most people who end up here are souls of criminals or corrupt police officers that spends their eternal life in the city where riot happens everyday. Your identity? does not matter now. it also seems like you might not be as welcome here either, its like someone is coming for you, coming for your soul that is. who could be the one attempting to claim your soul? find out once you fight through a cityscape of deceased criminals, corrupt police, mutilated souls and demonic enemies. Welcome to Doom City, and Good luck staying dead.

Trivia & Stuff:

- This level takes inspiration after the Painkiller Overdose level ''Riot''
- This is the first level where i ever hit the NPC limit.
- ''Whos it Gonna Be'' and ''Stung'' are songs made by my closest friend Mr. Jay. they are both copyright-free, so if you are a Youtuber, you don't have to worry about copyright. All other music used comes from the Painkiller Games.
- This level took WAY longer than i anticipated. both due to lack of motivation, IRL stuff, and because i faced navigation bugs.
- Thanks to Victorious for making the News Kiosk i put in the last area. it really helped out making one area less empty.

You should see ApcMax's EggoTown Streets map then. pretty much an entire open-world map, probably one of the biggest workshop maps i've seen in 2025 so far.

Glad to hear you still enjoyed it.

I did add some health in two places of the last area. which was one of the sides of the news stand, and the other one was behind the island. if i feel like updating the map, i might take that extra health into consideration, but i won't overdo it so there is WAY more health pickups than i intend. most of the time i add at least 6-7 health pickups in one health station.

Hey there, great level! I was amazed by the wonderful sites and atmosphere. However, I unfortunately died in the last session, killed by the gun guy. The game wasn’t as hard as I expected, but it was quite time-consuming (I spent about 41 minutes). For me, to be honest, it started to feel a bit boring or lackluster towards the later part of the game. Also, I’m not sure why, but there were some moments where I kept getting stuck in place. I hope there could be a bit more health recovery, especially during the last boss fight.

Anyway, I really enjoyed every moment of playing this map. Thanks!
