Seoul Metro 1000 series

The 1000 series is a commuter train of the Seoul Metropolitan Subway Corporation that was introduced in 1998 for use on Line 1 . These are stainless steel carriages with VVVF inverter control manufactured to replace the original 1000 series. Some formations incorporate modified trailer cars from the original 1000 series manufactured in 1989. It uses the same VVVF inverter as the 4000 series, but some carriages have updated software and the sound is different.
