Version 1.1a:
- Fixed Royal not Re-spawning
As for everything else - People wanted an easier mode (People who did not post it here but to me directly) Even though I made the map the way it was originally released I added the Easier mode so people could just Swarm the enemy - So hard Mode is how I intended the game to play.
I may come back to the map and edit it slightly again - To change some of the spawning bug Squads sizes. But for now, I'll leave it as is.
But thank you all for the comments and DM's.
Warriors... are dogshit. Idk how to balance these. If you replace them entirely with drones and then put tigers behind them you are infinitely better off.
Tigers. The GOAT. 20 biomass is about right for 10 of them. I do wonder if squads of 5 tigers would be better for pathing and movement.
Scorpions, once you get these bugs you've effectively won. They outrange standard units, have a mountain of armor, and deal a lot of damage. As a single model squad they represent the maximium amount of control for a player. This is probably what the player should start with tbh. Give us 1-3 that DO NOT respawn. And then don't give us the scorpion hive til about halfway through the mission.
If you were to do another bug map I have some thoughts....
When playing as bugs there really isn't a failure condition. Eventually you will win. The most played and original 'play as bugs' map set an extremely strict time limit. Which sucked cause bug pathing is terrible. Bugs do NOT go where you tell them to. The game isn't built for melee units, it's built for ranged units.
Different squad sizes gets messy fast. 10 biomass for 7 drones? 15 for 10 warriors? 20 for 10 tigers? idk what i'm buying, now biomass gets refunded so it's not a big deal but I would suggest standardizing squad sizes to some degree so you can get a better grip on which bugs are too expensive or too cheap.
