In the world of Jump Ultimate Stars 2, Knil was a prodigy. Since childhood, he had been one of the top 10 swordsmen of his generation. Even as a boy, he had saved his village from enemies so powerful that even elite soldiers would have struggled against them alone.
He grew stronger with every battle, and when he entered the Grand Swordsman Tournament, he met a rival who would become his greatest friend Old Johny.
Both were fierce, skilled, and driven by the same dream: to reach the legendary rank of Frodnonag.
When the two finally achieved that goal, they joined Frodnonag himself. The three warriors, now Brothers in arms, shared a sacred sake drink a pact of eternal brotherhood.
Together, they were invincible.

But destiny had other plans...

Frodnonag began to change. His demeanor darkened. But Knil and Old Johny remained loyal, hoping it was only a phase. One day, concerned, Knil reached out to the government to report Frodnonag’s unstable behavior. The government didn’t care. All that mattered to them was that the trio kept completing missions.
Knil was confused by their indifference but still trusted them. He and Old Johny noticed that the government was slowly pushing them away from Frodnonag.
Knil thought it was for the best maybe some distance would help Frodnonag regain control. He tried to convince Old Johny of that, even though both of them remained deeply worried.

During the Battle of Futura City East, Knil was distracted his thoughts focused on Frodnonag. He paid the price. Facing the deadly enemy Zores, Knil found himself on the brink of death. But then… Old Johny awakened.

For the first time, he unlocked his natural power the ability to see the future of his enemies. He saved Knil and defeated Zores with ease. Knil was astonished. Old Johny had become something more. They returned home to find Frodnonag waiting them with tears in his eyes. They hugged him, silently. They didn’t understand why he was crying. They didn’t know it would be the last time the three of them ever celebrated together. After Frodnonag’s victory at the Citadel, Knil and Old Johny decided to surprise him.
But what they found shattered their hearts.
At the government headquarters, they saw Adlez, wounded on the ground. She told them to go help Frodnonag quickly. They ran.
What they found was a nightmare:
Frodnonag, impaled by lances, surrounded by government agents.
Knil was paralyzed.
Old Johny exploded in fury, his presence radiating terror. He defeated every attacker in seconds. He begged Knil to help revive Frodnonag.
Desperate, he searched Frodnonag’s future, hoping to find a timeline in which he survived but there was none, then he searched Knil’s future and what he saw terrified him: a monstrous figure.He said Nothing, but Knil sensed something was wrong. Still in shock, he stayed silent.

The government accused Old Johny of killing Frodnonag and attacking its agents.
Knil, Adlez, and Johny knew it was a lie and a trap. Old Johny refused to surrender. He wanted justice even if it meant fighting the system.
Knil opposed him because if Old Johny attacked, it would a prove thet the government was right.
The two friends argued and broke apart. Old Johny saw Knil’s resistance as betrayal. They stopped speaking together.
Adlez tried to reconcile them… but failed. She could see Old Johny slipping away and Knil, too, was haunted by doubt.

One day, Old Johny confronted Knil.
“If I have to destroy universes to save our own… is that truly evil?”
Knil responded without hesitation:
“There’s never a good reason to destroy innocent lives.”
Old Johny surrendered soon after claiming his innocence to the very end. But the world didn’t care. The people hated him. They turned to Knil as their hero.
The media spread lies, they claiming Knil had tried to stop Old Johny during Frodnonag’s death, but had failed. Knil denied it but no one listened. He did everything he could to defend Old Johny's name.
Adlez suspected it was all a plot by the government, but she stayed silent. She didn’t want to tell Knil, because he still believed in the system. And she didn’t dare tell Johny… knowing it would only push him into vengeance.

Eventually, Knil and Adlez freed Old Johny.
But the man they found… was no longer the same.
Old Johny pushed them away, calling Knil the hero and himself the villain. Knil’s heart broke.
He went to the government for help only to be given a terrible mission:
“Watch your brother,” they ordered. “He’s no longer with us.”
Knil refused.
“He’s my brother. I’ll never betray him.”
He reminded them: He had warned them. Old Johny was never the real traitor.
But they threatened Knil:
Obey… or become a traitor yourself.

Knil was choc.
“Say whatever you want. The people will never believe you.”
He drew his sword.
“If you think I’m a traitor… come stop me.”
The government didn’t move.
They weren’t strong enough to defeat Knil. So they backed down. But Knil was done with them.
Knil chose to watch over Old Johny not for the government, but for his own heart. He wanted to bring his brother back to reason.
When Old Johny rose to power and became President, he imposed his terrifying doctrine: The Zero Villain Dictatorship.
Knil opposed him. He tried to protect reformed criminals and clashed with Old Johny countless times.
He never won.
Knil discovered that Old Johny had begun traveling between universes, destroying those who refused to follow his vision.
Knil followed him. He visited the same universes, trying to undo the damage and to gather allies. He created the Council of the Johnys, uniting as many alternate versions of Johny as possible to stop Old Johny. But not all joined.
Johny Prime refused. He wanted to face Old Johny himself, to see if he truly had the will to strike him down.
Knil also collaborated with the Jump Ultimate Stars League and the Fraymakers League, searching for ways to bring Old Johny down.
And even though the other Johnys wanted to eliminate Old Johny…
Knil had a different goal: He wanted to save him.

And so…
Knil joined the batle of The Temporal Final Destruction to stop the only man he had ever called brother.
