The 2012 Hennessey Venom GT is a high-performance hypercar developed by the American tuning company Hennessey Performance Engineering. Designed to push the limits of speed and acceleration, the Venom GT is built on a heavily modified Lotus Exige chassis, combining British lightweight engineering with raw American power.

At the heart of the Venom GT lies a 7.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine, producing an astonishing 1,244 horsepower and 1,155 lb-ft of torque. Paired with a 6-speed manual transmission, the car is capable of accelerating from 0 to 60 mph (0–100 km/h) in just 2.7 seconds, and from 0 to 200 mph (322 km/h) in under 15 seconds. Its recorded top speed is over 270 mph (435 km/h), placing it among the fastest production cars in the world during its time.

The exterior design maintains the compact and aggressive styling of the Lotus, but with significant modifications for aerodynamic stability, cooling, and downforce at extreme speeds. It features carbon fiber body panels to reduce weight, as well as a large adjustable rear wing for improved high-speed handling.

Inside, the Venom GT retains a minimalist racing-inspired cockpit, focusing on performance over luxury. Each unit is hand-built and highly customized to the buyer's specifications, making it not only rare but also tailored for serious driving enthusiasts.

Only a handful of Venom GTs were ever produced, making it one of the rarest and most exclusive hypercars ever built. It stands as a testament to what independent engineering and a passion for speed can achieve.
