Beskrivning
Play as the great Triumvir, Mark Antony; in Sid Meier's Civilization VI.

Romans invested their manpower heavily into the Ptolemaic Kingdom of Egypt during the later period of the Republic. Their Gabiniani regiments, effectively a foreign legion, propped up ailing Greek dynasts on the Nile before Mark Antony and Cleopatra's escapades in the eastern Mediterranean would see Rome absorb the Kingdom. The subsequent Roman Empire continued the religious and regal titles associated with the pharaohs, culminating in a decaying period known as the 34th Dynasty. This was a period of decay due to the various imperators gradually ignoring pharaonic duties until the title fell into disuse before even Constantine the Great could rebuke its function as catechumen. Latin influence on Egypt would not upset the endemic Greek culture and customs, though the Latin overlordship was typically at odds with the emergence of the Coptic Christians. These Trinitarians and even Manicheans would be persecuted severly until the Edict of Milan was issued in the 310s AD, though Miaphysite Christianity would later be rejected by the Chalcedonians of Rome and Constantinople. Roman rule was briefly interrupted by the Sasanids in the seventh century; the Arabs, however, would end Roman dominance in Egypt forever.

Update is out.
chrabaszcz6 23 aug @ 12:48
The ancient greeks, however, did distinguish these two peoples as separate ethnic groups

The illyrians and Thracians are peoples that have a lot in common, so you could say that this is exactly what I have in mind
Strudeler | Tatary  [skapare] 17 aug @ 18:19
...I did make Dacia, @Chrabaszcz6.

Did you mean Thracians?
chrabaszcz6 17 aug @ 12:27
Could you create a civilization of the Etruscans? Or maybe the Germans with Arminius? Or Illyrians or Dacians? Have you ever thought about something like that? I have several ideas written down for these civilizations, including leaders and unique units, and I'd be happy to share them. The civilizations I mentioned are not randomly chosen; no one has made them yet, and for example, they were playable in civ5 or other games.

All your latest creations have been super interesting and this one is no exception. Look forward to trying it out one day.

This was one of the strangest and most convoluted civilizations I have made so far.
