Description
The arms race is one of the largest struggles of humanity throughout its history. To combat raging pirate factions fielding capital ships, we made the Halcyon. To counter hit-and-run attacks from smaller pirate groups, we made the Regalis. To defend against the rising threat of these groups joining together, we made the Krait II. And to combat those ever-evolving threats of the future, we've made the Gallant.

Equipped with 2x rotary Magnetic Accelerator Cannons, 2x spinal MACs, 4x forward barrage artillery cannons, and 2x hybrid gravity-launched decoy slugs, the Gallant is specifically equipped to barrage stations and lunar surface installations, or produce terrifying lance attacks against enemy capital ships. Designed from the ground up as a dedicated battlecruiser, this behemoth is capable of flying in 0.25g's in level flight, or 0.26g's at a -27 degree nose-down position for surface bombardment all while being exceptionally mobile for a ship of its size and mass.

This mobility was made possible due to its more specifically-tailored armor. More capable of redirecting penetrating railgun or artillery batteries, the internal structure of this vessel is designed to ricochet shells towards inconsequential compartments instead of allowing damage to accumulate around critical systems. Though due to its sheer size and class, a lot of heavier armors were still marked as essential for the skeleton of the ship and to protect those critical systems.

In addition, this vessel is also equipped with 2x side hangars for Pelicans and Condors to ferry personnel between ships or to launch planetary sorties, or even to launch fighters out of to assist in fleet screening during larger engagements.

Everything was done to ensure that this high-value asset can be fielded with ease of mind while still instilling terror into the hearts of its enemies.

It is advised you use the subgrid projector plugin so that you can actually build the rotary railguns in survival. This isn't integral to the ship's role, so I still marked it as "survival-ready" despite this.

Me and a buddy did some horrible things to this ship (I thank you so much for making this). we used it as a baseline for our survival ship for a nomad challenge and upgraded it on the fly. I'd love to show you I hope to god we kept the original spirit

My favorite bit is the new doors being placed over the half beds - and the internal effects on the railgun pieces are really something.

I'm glad you like it :) you can use a subgrid projector plugin, found here: https://github.com/sepluginloader/SpaceEngineersLauncher (install this, run it as SE's launcher and in the plugins tab just install the "multigrid projectors" one)

Thank you for the update! I re-applied the blueprint and undid my adhoc patches, the artillery are all connected now!

I'm in love with the firing systems (went into creative to figure out what subgrids I was missing, rebuilt them and redid the timer blocks to align the weapons up). I took it up against a space pirate random base spawn and ripped it to shreds in minutes. Love it. Great job on the armour and design. I even found some space to throw down some programmable blocks for iim.

Okay, it's fixed (a bit late, sorry, got really busy yesterday) thanks for pointing it out! I recognized the issue, I swore I fixed it but maybe I just didn't save it properly when I had.

For the Aft external connectors by the hangars: You probably deleted the connections when you put in the space balls armor, since there's one right where a connection needs to go.

For the forward artillery: I have no clue. I think the closest connection point would be the nearby hydrogen engines, but there's grav balls and blast walls in between.
