Spoils of War

Description
Overview
The raiders(invaders) will drop the equipment they are wearing, gold ingots (default enabled), and the corpses of the generated horses (default enabled, applicable to cavalry units) after being killed, through this mod.

Features
  1. The parameters such as the drop probability and rate of enemy equipment, the quantity of gold ingots for each type of enemy, etc. support customization.

  2. The types of equipment dropped by the enemy are consistent with their type.

  3. There is a relatively reasonable probability model for completeness and quantity

Note
After the module is first run and the game is exited, a configuration file (.cfg) will be automatically created.
Path :\steam\steamapps\common\Farthest Frontier\Farthest Frontier (Mono)\UserData\Spoils of War.cfg.
It seems that there is a problem with the download location of the mod. You may need to manually copy it to:
\steam\steamapps\common\Farthest Frontier\Farthest Frontier (Mono)\Mods

v1.0.0
It has been tested on version 1.0.0p4 (Mono)
The principle of this mod is to generate items and drop them whenever an enemy dies.

It's working for Mono, but don't forget that you'll likely have to manually copy the dll file from the workshop folder into your ".../Farthest Frontier/Farthest Frontier (Mono)/Mods" folder in order for it to start working. For some reason the workshop files are not being properly loaded, so you have to manually add them into the Farthest Frontier files.

Does this work on mono .97 or do I need to download the 1.0 early access branch?

Hi Truth s4id, first of all thank you for making and sharing this mod. I was curious if you can apply it to an existing save, or if you need to start a fresh game when implementing this? Just killed 11 raiders and would not mind a little booty next time they show up for the effort :)

thank you for your time

Thanks! I had started, saved, started up again (always in Mono) and had confirmed that it loaded in the melon screen and the config file was in the userdata folder afterwards before I posted my issue, sorry, should have included that info.

However, it is indeed working correctly. Thanks for the tip on hitting F5 to see the stuff was indeed laying on the ground where I wiped out the attackers.

I think my issue actually was a lack of labor as nobody was picking the stuff up until I freed up a bunch of farmers, then they starting picking up the stuff.

So, thank you very much. This mod gives more incentive to deal with raiders fully (I love chasing the runners down with my calvary :)

@bamps09_1964

The cfg file will be automatically created when the mod is first run and the game is exited.

But now it seems that after downloading the mod, you need to start the game, exit it, and then start it again for the mod to be successfully loaded. So you might need to complete the process of starting the game twice and then exiting it.

This path, to be more specific, is \steam\steamapps\common\Farthest Frontier\Farthest Frontier (Mono)\UserData\Spoils of War.cfg.

You can check on the MelonLoader Console whether the cfg file has been successfully generated or loaded. You can also download Melon Preference Manager from the workshop and use it to modify the configuration parameters.

@divok1701

Hello, I just conducted a test on version 1.0.0p5 (Mono), and did not encounter the issue you mentioned.

This might be caused by mod conflicts, parameter configuration issues, or the mod files not being placed in the correct location or being disabled.

The mod needs to be run on the Mono version rather than the regular version. Moreover, after downloading the mod, you need to start the game once, exit it, and then re-enter the game in order to successfully load it.

You can observe through the MelonLoader Console whether the mod has been successfully loaded and what actions it has performed. You can also press F5 to activate the drop item marking function, which will help you observe more clearly whether the items have dropped.

Does not seem to work... running 1.0.0p5

Nothing was acquired killing the invaders, none even escaped and still seem like nothing was gained.
