- In the latin chronicles ''Historia Regum Britanniae" of Geoffroy de Monmouth, the fabulous sword carried by Arthur is called Caliburn.
- When Wace translates the chronicles in old french, Calinurn becomes Escalibor.
- In the Chrtien de Troyes's novels, Escalibor becomes Excalibur.
- Robert de Boron is the one who imagines the famous episode of the sword in the stone (well, in the enclume...). But the sword has no name in his novel.
Sorry, but since Malory's version has been so influential when it comes to the current view of Arthurian legend, I am using it as one of the main sources for this mod, and I am not planning to change that. Having Oberon as the son of Morgan le Fay and Julius Caesar would be cool, but it doesn't fit at all into the established timeline.
