Description
For best compatibility, put my mod first so other mods, such as UI mods, load over mine. When I launch my other companion mods, RIG Unique Shipset will need to be first in any RIG list.

RIG Unique Shipset CORE MOD
Hello. I'm Gray. It’s my great pleasure to present to the Stellaris community, my massive many years-long project. The total conversion, RIG Unique Shipset. A mod like no others. I think.... This mod is Standalone. It only contains the shipsets. People familiar with the older versions of this mod will notice there is a alot missing in this version, thats ok, dont worry, the items, tech paths, ascend paths, all of it, will be in their own companion mods. This is not just to help me protect myself from PDX updates, but also to keep things far more manageable. My god, my file structure was absurdly complicated in the previous machine age version.

What Does It Do?
In the base game, your choice of shipset is effectively meaningless. Avians, Mammalians, Lithiods, whatever. You'll receive the same ships and weapons. Thus the same play style, every time. RIG seeks to change this. Pictured below is a comparison, highlighting a 'meta' build from just one (1) of eighteen (18) factions to choose from.

INCOMPATIBILITIES

Understandably, when you see the true scope of RIG, most things won't be compatible with RIG. You should assume any mods that edit ships, like NSC, are incompatible. While some ship mods might work, this mod is designed to be played without other ship altering mods.

To be clear. NSC = No.

Weapon/item mods should work with this, so long as those other mods only add new things.

COMPATABLITIES

As this mod adds logic to shipsets, there are a bunch of mods which also add shipsets. I am constantly scanning the mod workshop for other shipsets that i like. If I do, I’ll add them to the mod. Currently, only one shipset is compatible with RIG.

The Future Of RIG

Additional RIG mods will be released that use this mod as the CORE. Substantial and wide ranging changes to the tech tree and items will occur. I also watch the workshop for shipset mods that take my interest.

Excited for the return of weapons! And specifically seeing what you come up with for weapons for infernal ships!

plans are in place for Infernals. Once they launch, shouldnt be long for an update.

Soz everyone, school is very bust. My grade 12s are in panic mode. Ill be back dedicating more time to this at some point this year. :)

Thats mostly because i used to care about the naming conventions, until it really stopped mattering. Now i just name it whatever.
I should ask... why some code-name for modules, like, Destroyer - Mindwardens - ...BOM-M3 , but give 1G slot.

No issue whatsoever gamewise, modules give slots as shown in doc, just curious.
ESC should, but when main mod gonna be finished - there gonna be no need, as RIG itself have many components.

Could this mod work with Extra Ship Components? Also, I found a couple bugs, namely when selecting ship sections you can select both vanilla and modded versions of the sections, and you can't outfit torpedoes on the central section of cruisers, at least in the psionic tech path.
