Depot Village Defense from counterattack

Description
Its a variation of Terr hunt, basically, called Defense game mode
BUT here instead of you going to find unaware enemies on the map - they come for you in waves)
You can set on the board: Enemy per wave, number of waves, time before 1st wave, interval between waves

In this version you are in the Village on the east side of the Depot map, you have to take defensive positions, protect the village and in the end finish off remaining enemies to win

IMPORTANT NOTES:
Even thought GameMode files are part of the mod - they wont show in the StageMod on the server, only map does for some reason.
For me it worked when I uploaded them manually - they appeared in the list about 10 mins later.
That's the current GB modding system guys, so sorry about that.

Modded map can stop showing in the list after an update - sometimes it would show again after next server restart, or you can delete it from server mod list, restart server, add it back, and then restart server again for it to get mounted.
Sorry, but this is how mod system for maps is currently working, not my fault)

In this folder you'd find necessary GameMode files and localization to be uploaded to the server manually:

1) copy this file
Defense.lua

into the following folder
/GroundBranch/Content/GroundBranch/GameMode

2) copy localization file
Defense.csv

into the following folder
/GroundBranch/Content/Localization/GroundBranch/en/

in about 5-10 mins after that you should see new Game Mod in your admin menu when selecting a map

if you already put the google drive files in manually for one of the maps with this Game mode, then once you see another map variant for the same modded game mode, you don't need to grab the files again, just subscribe and you'll see the map in the game mode!

Defending form alternative location is something for me to think about, how to implement it.

Thanks for the suggestion about Storage Facility, I'd make something with that map too soon

hey @Kkkkyle69
check few things:
- you uploaded files into correct folder as mentioned in the instructions
- you waited for about 5-10 minutes after that (sometime faster)
- you are looking for Defense game mode and then you should see the map

If none of these helped, then Im out of ideas, i'd need to see your filesystem to be able to help.
If you get like really stuck - feel free to DM me, ill tell you what screenshots to take, so we can figure this out

I uploaded the files and subscribed to the mod, but I cant find the map. Any ideas?

oof, I'll take the jab.
But yeah, I get that, my intention was to just defend from a different location, not to prevent exploration.

I think the Storage Facility (Underground) would make a good map for this btw, I think that map deserves more love

Glad that you like the mod!

NPC go there cause i didnt put navblock on the pipes after I closed them out, cause I assumed there wont be players behind wall that they have to chase

Leaving the village is a cowards way and its not intended, so to speak and I dont feel like spending mcuh time putting walls and stuff around the area)
Quick fix to avoid having people running off to the wild is by making initial time before wave setting to about 10 sec - you wont be able to run far enough so you are not shot by appearing AI)

Really liking this! Prefer this to the Outpost gamemode, its more dynamic and the spawns are solid.

Only thing I noticed is that NPCs still try to pathfind through the three pipe-entrances (found along J8-J10 on the ingame map) to the compound which are blocked... so they just get stuck trying to walk through it.
(Only matters if you leave the village)

@KingTri, theres a defense mission for compound but you're holding one of the small buildings thats outsides the main compound. Should be able to find it under the V1035 selection for the workshop
