Salvaging by EL_Tres

Description
Redd Foxx would be so proud! ;)

This mod allows you to breakdown most of the items in the game to base materials so that you can resuse them or to make them easier to carry. If you have another salvaging mod, it will most likely conflict with it, or at least have duplicate breakdown recipes.

All salvaging is done either at the tanning rack or the smelter. As of right now there is no special perk needed to salvage, but I am thinking of adding some smithing perk requirements for high end salvage later. Many of the items are initially hidden from view at the crafting station, unless you have the items you want to breakdown. This is to keep the station free of a spam of recipes that you have to scroll through.

The base of this is someone else's mod which I have extensively rebalanced and added many more recipes that were not available,

If you would like to see more recipes added, please let me know what you would like and I will create a balanced recipe that doesnt imbalance the game.

Update 1: Updated some recipes to make them compatible with the new mod I'll be uploading soon.

Bug fixes for a couple items in this patch, centurian cores can be broke down to filled grand soul gems now, instead of just ingots.

you make charcoal with firewod, 3 charcoal and 2 iron makes 2 steel bars.

wondering if it may be possible to put back the option of making steel by iron & corundum ore ??
probably removed for good reason - have no idea how these things work.....

great way to deal with lots of stuff, specially when I make them too expensive to sell :)
thank you for all your hard work and sharing

Ah, I just put my Smithing to Legendary. That might be it. Thanks for the response.

Some higher level recipes take smithing skill, but most do not.

Yes it does, you probably have a conflict with another mod.

Does this mod still work? Can't find any of the "recipes" in the smelter or tanning rack.
