Buggsy Salone

Description
Here comes trouble! Buggsy Salone from Dieselpunk: the RPG is here to stay! Bash baddies and cast cunning cantrips to manipulate the flow of battle in your favor! Buggsy is a defensively oriented control-brawler hybrid who balances lots of different mechanics to perform at his highest potential!

–SPELLS–

Several of Buggsy’s spells are capable moves with large, committal areas and very potent abilities. Spells cost a spell charge to cast, which can be regenerated primarily by dealing non-spell damage, but also by taking damage.

–CONJURES–

Buggsy also has access to many conjuration moves that include conjuring weapons of light, summoning a void hand or even spawning in a mini version of himself, the ever-faithful Jimmy! Conjures do not cost spell charges but still have spell-like applications and versatility.

–MOVES–

Jab: The 5-Piece. Physical. Buggsy starts with a right straight punch into a left uppercut, which can be further extended with a push kick, a left overhand and finally, his signature double axe handle.

Ftilt: Holy Bat. Conjured. Buggsy conjures a light bat that he swings at the opponents head.

Utilt: Ice Knife. Spell. Costs a spell slot. Buggsy shoots a freeze ray from the knife, exploding in an icy blast. Not having a spell slot downgrades the move to a physical knife throw.

Dtilt: Sweep Kick. Physical. Buggsy sweeps his opponents leg, preparing them for follow-up hits.

FDtilt: Super Hand. Conjured. Buggsy summons his trusty Super Hand, which shoves enemies away from him. Deals no damage and has a short cooldown.

Nair: Acid Splash. Conjured. Buggsy surrounds himself with a protective bubble of acid before popping it around himself.

Fair: Chairshot. Conjured. Buggsy forms a chair in his hands and cracks it over the opponent.

Bair: Vortex Warp/Summon Hive. Spell. Buggsy warps himself backwards away from harm and sends out a swarm of insects that will fly toward the nearest opponent in front of him.

Uair: Mind Throttle. Spell. Buggsy fires two powerful lasers from his fingertips above him, which cause neurons to snap. Not easy to land due to the windup but the tips kill suprisingly early.

Dair: Marauder Airstrike. Gun. Yes, Buggsy has a gun. He’s not very great with it and it can only load 5 bullets before needing a reload, but 5 bullets is all he needs! Well, kinda. Buggsy aims downward and rapidly sprays toward the ground with mediocre accuracy.

FDair: Flying Axe Kick. Physical. Buggsy prefers to use physical attacks with his feet planted, but if he must fight in the air, he might as well plant his feet somewhere. Buggsy drops his leg down from high to deliver a moderately powerful spiking axe kick.

FStrong: Shin Chaos Bolt. Spell. After charging up his magical energy, he launches a massive warbling mass consisting of a Fire Bolt, an Ice Beam, an Acid Blast and a Void Lash. Enemies hit will take high damage and be sent decently far.

UStrong: Shining Flare. Spell. Buggsy releases a concentrated wave of pure light, stunning foes that get hit by it. Stunning someone directly allows Buggsy to guarantee a followup!

DStrong: Body Blow. Physical. Buggsy swings fiercely into the opponents midsection. If it lands, Buggsy will summon a table and dramatically slam the opponent through it for really high knockback, sending enemies backwards.

DFStrong: Marauder Barrage. Gun. Buggsy pulls his M1 Marauder out and unleashes several rounds downrange, emptying the clip.

NSpecial: Debris Cloud. Spell. Buggsy rips a hole in the void that repeatedly damages foes and destroys most projectiles as it slowly creeps forward.

FSpecial: Bubble Onslaught. Physical. Buggsy enlists the help of a faerie named Bubble to slash up his opponents in front of him. She won’t stick around long, though, and will vanish after helping a while. Aerial version is lobbed instead of a fixed pattern.

USpecial: Ice Knife Warp. Spell. Buggsy warps upward with many ways to horizontally mix up his recovery, and then flings an Ice Knife downward. Lacking a spell slot changes this move to be Gut, a standard knife slash attack with minimal vertical applications.

DSpecial: Jimmy! Buggsy pulls out his little Homunculous to do a distracting dance in his stead. Ignores projectiles. If a melee attack lands, Bugsy will counter with an uppercut. Buggsy gets 3 Jimmys that recharge. If used in the air, Buggsy will throw Jimmy down to the floor.

Taunt: Reload. Buggsy pulls a magazine from the void and swaps out his current one, allowing him to reuse his gun.

DFTaunt: Shin Chaos Blast. Spell. Costs all 5 spell charges. Buggsy’s super move! While completely armored, Buggsy funnels all his energy into charging a powerful ball, and after a delay, launches a massive cross-map beam of unstable magic potential. Will not kill but can rack up a LOT of damage against unsuspecting enemies.
