Micro Lifter ECO™

Description

Ladies and Gentlemen, here comes the Micro Lifter ECO™!

A decently overhauled version of the Micro Lifter 100™. Way cheaper in production: no rare ores needed. Only iron, copper, silicon and carbon!

Way more cargo space:
Instead of 12k of cargo we have bloated this tiny bug up to be capable of carrying almost 17k of cargo around.

Less CPU:
We removed the basic CPU extender and the two gatling guns and equipped the vessel with a top attached retractable mini gun turret.

More interior space:
We gave the interior a slight overhaul and freed up some space for another two 2x2 device compartments.

This is a from-zero-to-warp starter vessel that has the ability to grow a lot throughout your celestial journey!

A roomy asset compartment can fit a warp drive, a shield generator, a pentaxid tank, advanced generators, CPU extenders and more fuel tanks and all kinds of other sh*t.

The interior has room for an additional constructor (marked as "CON", behind the three lights on the wall), passenger seats and a trauma station (if you remove certain panel blocks in the front for example).

The roof offers space for 4 retractable turrets or maybe 3 turrets and a door sized drone hatch.

You can also easily add 6 drill laser modules to the front of the vehicle.

The basic version of this vessel comes with an upllift force of 93.6 tons. But you should be able to replace most of the thrusters with bigger 1 x 3 x 1 ones for more mobility if the vessel gets heavier.

It's great, but not very suitable for mining, gets stuck all the time due to its wide center.

This is a high quality starter SV. Performance allows this ship to do good at clearing POI's if fitted to do so; it lifts a lot for the cost. Also, it looks cool!

@Geek3, I don't believe, anywhere above, it mentions this. Where even is this tin you mention it is on?

I knew about RE2 from being on the workshop an spotting the tag on alot of mods, not this one anywhere.

I think if youre making mods for specific mods, the steam workshop has a literal function that handles this, you set your mod to require the other mod too. or, you know, mention it somewhere in the desc?

@Boshty, @Ronin75, as it says on the tin (the thumbnail) it is for RE2 only. RE2=Reforged Eden 2.0 Beta. You can find the scenario here on the workshop.

I only have this mod and two other starter ship/base designs downloaded.

Why do they all say contain forbidden blocks? i super confused lol
Ronin75 21 Aug @ 1:29pm
Blueprint says "Contains forbidden block". I am on Vanilla game

Is this vanilla game compatible?

Want an example of tight? Add a Constructor but have to Drop to Standard Shield Generator, deficit of 65 CPU still. Drop the Trauma Station to get more. Or start using the in game control panel options to hook devices up to switches so you can turn them off when not needed (shields, warp drive, etc.) then you can have it all :-)

Amazing design of an ultimate explorer with a tight build path challenge.

Base CPU: 5,465 allocated of 6,000. Your first upgrade must be CPU extenders. The designer provides two empty slots. Build them to save money, but you'll need to explore for rare materials.

For the ultimate build (Advanced Shield, Advanced Jump Drive, etc.), you need 10,265 CPU. With two extenders, you have 9,500 CPU. You have a 765 CPU deficit. Radioactivity for Advanced Jump Drive?

Options:

1. Make a Trade-Off: Drop the second Gatling Turret (1,000 CPU). This fits all upgrades perfectly.

2. UCH Questline (Object 82 mission chain) for Advanced Core: Upgrade the Standard Core. This is expensive but is the only way to power all components with no compromises.

Final Takeaway: Only the Advanced Jump Drive allows for light-year travel. The standard drive is for in-system jumps (AU). The design path is a phased upgrade: use the ship to gather materials for extenders, then choose your final build.

Here are the CPU costs of everything on the vessel for my playstyle desire of a Explorer and Survey primary role:

Base Vessel: 5,465 CPU
Advanced Shield Generator: 2,000 CPU
Advanced Jump Drive: 1,500 CPU
Second Light Gatling Turret on Bottom of SV: 1,000 CPU
Pentaxid Tank: 200 CPU
Trauma Station: 100 CPU
Total CPU Required: 5,465+2,000+1,500+1,000+200+100=10,265 CPU

Total CPU Available with Two Extenders:

Standard CPU Core: 6,000 CPU
Two CPU Extenders (Improved): 2×1,750 CPU=3,500 CPU
Total CPU Available: 6,000+3,500=9,500 CPU

Two CPU Extenders (Improved) are not enough to power the full "Ultimate Explorer" build. You will have a deficit of 765 CPU (10,265 - 9,500).

This final piece of data confirms the designer's intent. The Micro Lifter ECO is not a ship you can fully "min-max" with a simple upgrade approach. Be strategic!
