Hello everyone! I bring you better vacsuits!

This is just a very simple mod, it does not modify the base game vacsuits but rather adds two more variety of vacsuits and a new vac-safe helmet!

These take two different design ideas, one being to make a faster non-combatant suit while the other is a more combat oriented suit that does not surpass any of the power armors



Ergonomic Vacsuit
Sharp: 0.32
Blunt: 0.25
Movespeed: -0.25
VacuumResistance: 0.32


Armored Vacsuit
Sharp: 0.72
Blunt: 0.55
Movespeed: -1.00
VacuumResistance: 0.32


Armored Vacsuit Helmet
Sharp: 0.82
Blunt: 0.24
ToxicEnvironmentResistance: 0.8
VacuumResistance: 0.69

@Cozy I could by just changing some of the values though I'm not quite sure how it'll effect balancing. If I do it'd probably be something akin to a dive suit with minimal armor

@Ghost, I'm definitely intrigued at your offer. Haven't heard of inkscape before, my textures made using GIMP lol. I'd be down to learn, always a good thing to improve skills. I do have a discord

@TurboPickle nah don't be so hard on yourself these genuinely look great. I mean that. By crunchy I mean it uses an aliased brush which stands out in rimworld since everything else is anti-aliased. (aliased = hard pixel edges.) I think adding some gradients would also make it look even better.

Inkscape is free and pretty easy to use when you learn how it works if you wanna try remaking them yourself, but I can do it and send you the textures on discord or something if you use it. Or I can show you how to use inkscape :) Inkscape is unlike any other art program since it's vectors, you shape the lines with little handles, so it's easier for people to work with if they don't have illustration skills. It's how the basegame artwork was made (and how most people make textures)

@Ghost Define crunchy. I presume you mean the lack of transition between colors having that ever so slight pixel look? If so, yes its true, they are however in game one typically can't zoom in far enough to really see. If you have improvements though I'd be interested to see, I admit textures have always been my weak point for mod-making lol

I really like how these look but the textures are super crunchy, could I make some inkscape textures for them?

The vanilla vacsuit privdes 32% vac resistance.
It's the helmet that provides 69 vac resistance.

Do you mean for the vacuumeResistance to be so low for the suits?
Aren't normal vacsuits around 0.68 for the suit portion?
