Description
A brutalist concrete metro station on the Montreal Metro orange line. Georges-Vanier station has a simple concrete design, featuring the iconic Montréal Métro entrance doors and a quirky concrete skylight.

This station is modified slightly from the real-life one, to have 2 sets of doors so there are more ways to orient and place this station. Doors on the long side of the station are functional.

Subscribe to my ‘Montreal Metro Sign’ to have it show up in the asset. Otherwise station still works without the sign.

My first ever building creation for CS1 on Steam, so please rate it if you like it and leave comments on things I could improve!

Textures reworked and updated! Better quality but a smaller file and less tris!

This update should automatically reflect in your builds upon reloading - if not, unsubscribe and resubscribe with the game CLOSED.

Hey great assets! Could you also make a tram version of this underground station, if it's possible :)

Right on, gsc! :steamhappy: A commercial filmed at Atwater back in the late '70s/early '80s sang a similar tune.

@Chamait il fait chaud dans metro!

Thanks for the tip, gsc. They are similar in some ways except the Paris version, besides the bigger, wider white strip doesn't have the side stabilizing wheels as the Montreal train uses. Montreal also doesn't have the windshield wiper because, as you know, they don't go above ground. Still looks good. I wonder if this Paris version has red-lit taillights? I'll have a look.

@wraithrider I use the paris metro MF67 train in place of that since the Montreal old trains are based on that design. Color looks similar enough and it's also rubber tire. However there is nowhere in my build the metro goes above ground to see- just like IRL...

I recognize the station. Great work! Now, if only someone could do the blue and white Montreal Metro train versions that ran from the '60s to the early 2000s.
