Items will slowly lose durability over time. A simple but realistic mechanic to help you get rid of those old items at 1% durability.

- Everything will lose 1% durability per day
- Gold items will lose 0.25% durability per day
- Will also 0.25% durability per day like golden items: Bramble Armor, Driftwood Oar, Battle Paddle, Winter Hat and Captain's Tricorn

Items at full durability are uneffected: so your backup stock of armor and weapons will be fine. The list is:

- Flint and Gold Axe, Pickaxe, Shovel, Hammer, Pitchfork, Garden Hoe and Oar
- Spear, the basic Battle Spear, Boomerang and Cutless
- Log Suit, Football Helmet, the basic Battle Helm, Hardwood Hat, and Bramble Armor
- Winter Hat, Rabbit Earmuffs, Pirate Bandana and Captain's Tricorn
