The Ballot TEET(Trans Europ Express Triebzug) was one of the very first quad voltage EMU. It's (then) new technology enabled for a significant improvement in speeds and travel times across the whole of western Europe.

After its tenure as a EMU for TEE services it further led a successful life as a train in domestic and EuroCity services.
