Description
SimpleStairs (Fork)

This is a fork of the original "SimpleStairs" mod for RimWorld, updated to support version 1.6.

As of RimWorld 1.6, the placingDraggableDimensions XML element used in 1.5 is no longer supported. It has been superseded by drawStyleCategory, which should be used to specify the visual and interaction style of placeable objects.



📦 Differences from the Original Mod

  • placingDraggableDimensions has been replaced by drawStyleCategory to control object placement and visual behavior.



📌 Notes

  • This is not an official update by the original author.
  • This is a simple update for 1.6 compatibility.
  • The mod should be safe to use in existing saves, but always back up your game just in case.

Is there any way to make the handrails impassable? My colonists just climbing up the floors kinda kills the illusion unfortunately.

Unfortunately throws about 30 errors "Found no Verse.ThingDef" from SimpleStairs.xml for me.

I have a question: do you take any recommendations for updating mods? Like for example: https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2588470235 . Hope I won't make you angry. I wanted to start updating mods to 1.6, but I'm no programmer.

I really appreciate your work. But i wonder if there's any solution with problems.
There's "GO_RGK_Handrail" and "GO_RGK_Highwall" textures in Linked foler.
It was also usable at original 1.5 mod. but both of them are missing in game even with least mods.

I think I might be missing something, can someone please explain how I can change the orientation of the railings? I want them to ascend from north to south, but I can only get them to ascend them form south to north.
