TraderGen

Description
This is an unofficial fork of TraderGen.

I updated this mod because I really liked it in previous playthroughs and I noticed that the original mod author decided to stop modding: a decision which I understand fully, having abandoned many mods throughout the years :P

I am providing this mod as-is under the MIT license. I am making no guarantee that I will continue updating this mod. I am almost definitely not going to add new features or integrations with other mods unless I personally feel like it. But I have verified that the mod seems to work with 1.6 after my fixes, and I am sharing it here in hopes that other people will find it useful.

Feel free to leave any bug reports on the issue tracker[github.com] along with a Harmony log dump (search online for how to get it). I will probably try to fix any game-breaking bugs. I will almost definitely not fix any bugs that are solely reported in Steam comments, sorry!

Original description

TraderGen is a mod focused on improving trader variety and mod compatibility. Every trader will feel different and unique!

Orbital trader specializations: Orbital traders get a random specialization. In addition to their normal stock, they will have extra items fitting their specialization. Some of these specializations carry rare or useful items! Keep an eye out for them.

Orbital ship names: Orbital ships gets an improved range of randomly generated names. Each different type has their own selection, so you will see more fitting names as well.

Ideology support: With the [Ideology DLC](https://rimworldgame.com/ideology/), traders will expand their stock depending on the ideoligion they follow. For example, Tunnelers will sell insect meat and raw fungus, while Transhumanists will have bionics in stock. Ideologies against cannibalism will refuse to purchase human meat, while those with Tree connection will never commerce with wood. More than 50 precepts from Vanilla and multiple Ideology mods are supported!

Mod compatibility: TraderGen features extensive mod compatibility, with a growing selection of mods having additional effects on trader stock.

Customization: You can tweak TraderGen to your liking; every feature can be tweaked, enabled or disabled in the mod settings.

You can find a detailed description of specializations, ideology features, trader tweaks and mod compatibility features in the project website.

work with Better Traders?

It looks like the 1.5 version has too many DLLs in it. Only DeepCloner and TraderGen should be needed. I've uploaded a new version that should have stripped out the DLLs as well.

@test, the source files are still in there. You can delete them if you want to save space.

does this one have one like the 'let's trade' (iirc) the "junk trader"? it was a trader that bough ANYTHING but doesn't sell anything and the price is not that good

This mod is currently causing an issue where slavers will not sell slaves. The weird thing is that if I create a new game, they sell slaves just fine.

In my current game, I can spawn as many slavers as I want, and none of them will have slaves, but as soon as I remove this mod, they will sell slaves again.

Thanks!

Thanks for taking the time to try and update this mod. Vanilla desperately needs more trader types - a fact I've been reminded of with my 1.6 playthrough so far - so I'm really happy to see this updated. Was kinda prepping myself to just living without it.
